WWE Releases Six Superstars in Post-WrestleMania Cuts

Six superstars have departed WWE on April 24, days after WrestleMania 42 concluded

WWE has released six superstars on April 24, 2026, in the latest round of post-WrestleMania cuts. The departures confirmed so far are Nikki Cross, Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy), Joe Gacy, Zoey Stark, Alba Fyre, and Andre Chase. Talent releases in the days following WrestleMania have become a recurring pattern for the company, and this year follows that same timeline.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select and Mike Johnson of PWInsider confirmed multiple departures throughout the day as announcements came in from the talent themselves via social media.

The Wyatt Sicks largely disbanded in a single afternoon

The most significant cluster of releases hit the Wyatt Sicks, the faction that had been operating on SmackDown for the better part of the past two years. Dallas, who portrayed the Uncle Howdy character and served as the group’s leader, had his release confirmed by both Sapp and Johnson. His departure comes less than a week after the Wyatt Sicks dropped their concluding match against Solo Sikoa and his faction.

Nikki Cross, who had been a member of the group on SmackDown, was among the first to publicly announce her departure. She posted a message on social media thanking WWE after more than a decade with the company and expressing excitement about what comes next. Cross had not wrestled a televised match since a holiday tour appearance in December 2024, though she remained a recurring on-screen presence.

Gacy signaled his own departure through a social media post Friday afternoon before his release was confirmed by BodySlam. The status of remaining Wyatt Sicks members Erick Rowan and Dexter Lumis had not been confirmed as of this reporting.

Stark and Fyre depart as injuries defined their recent runs

Zoey Stark’s release arrives after nearly a year away from competition. She tore her ACL and MCL during a match last May and had recently received medical clearance to return before the news of her departure broke. Sapp confirmed her exit on Friday.

Alba Fyre had been a core member of the Secret Hervice alongside Chelsea Green and Piper Niven since March 2025, stepping into that role after her former tag partner Isla Dawn was released in February of that year. Fyre’s last televised match came on the February 20 episode of SmackDown, a loss to Tiffany Stratton. Before her main roster run, Fyre, who previously competed as Kay Lee Ray, built her reputation in NXT UK, where she held the NXT UK Women’s Title. She later joined NXT in 2021 and went on to win the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, both alongside Dawn.

Green is currently sidelined with an ankle injury and Niven with a neck injury, leaving the Secret Hervice effectively without active members following Fyre’s release.

Chase closes a run that began with a bet against him

Andre Chase announced his departure from WWE through a video message posted to his social media accounts, thanking fans for their support across his years with the company. Chase had been a fixture in NXT throughout his tenure and noted that he was told when he originally signed that he would never make it to television. The response from fans, he indicated, proved that projection wrong and shaped the direction of his career.

His departure from WWE closes a chapter for Chase University, the NXT faction he led, and marks the end of a run built largely through crowd connection rather than championship accolades.

The full scope of this round of releases had not been confirmed by the time of publication. Additional cuts may follow as the day continues.
