Days of our Lives spoilers for Monday, March 23, 2026, tease EJ continuing with his dirty work and Leo confiding in his BFF.
What to expect on Days of our Lives
Ever since EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) placed his father’s ring on his finger that day in the crypt, his sinister mode has gone into overdrive. Susan (Stacy Haiduk) could feel there was something wrong with her sweet baby boy and she just might be right. Evil is lurking in Elvis, courtesy of his mean, mean, mean daddy.
EJ claims he just wants to fulfill Stefano’s (the late Joseph Mascolo) dying wish and resurrect his father’s treasured daughter, Alexandra, but he also wants to make a whole lot of money. EJ doesn’t tell that part to Paulina (Jackee Harry) when he threatens to do something regarding Lexie (Nikki Crawford) that could destroy Paulina’s life. He needs Paulina to do his bidding and will use this secret to get exactly what he wants.
EJ also tries to smooth things over with Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and swears that he had nothing to do with her kidnapping, and neither did Rolf (Richard Wharton). Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey) was working completely on his own. Stephanie wants to believe him, but she is still suspicious since Rolf just left her and Jeremy (Michael Roark) there to die.
Stephanie has a right to be wary, as EJ ordered Rolf to kill Stephanie and Jeremy so nobody would ever know that Rolf was in the hospital basement. Now, Rafe (Galen Gering) knows that something strange was going on down there, so he compares notes with Jada (Elia Cantu). Will the FBI and Salem PD figure out exactly what was going on? We highly doubt it.
Leo’s big return
Leo (Greg Rikaart) makes it back to Salem without Dimitri (Peter Porte), but with a head injury that needs treatment, so he is brought right to Salem University Hospital, where he meets with his pal and psychiatrist, Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
Leo had quite an adventure in Alamainia. Vivian nearly poisoned him, he got to dress as a woman and visit some graves, and Dimitri even saved him from flying bullets. But the most consequential thing that happened was Javi’s phone call, which changed everything for Leo.
Poor Leo was sure that he and Javi could at least try to work things out until Dimitri exited the bathroom and spoke. Javi knew they were together, so he hung up and declared it truly was over.
Now, Leo is torn. He believes he broke Javi’s heart and the guilt overwhelms him, but he also knows he has unresolved feelings for Dimitri. What kind of advice will Marlena give? Maybe it would be best if Javi returned to Salem so they could work things out in person.
Can Marlena work her magic and reach out to Javi to make that happen? It is time these two men met face to face once again.
