Off Campus was renewed for Season 2 before Season 1 even premiered, but it is yet to be confirmed which couple will take center stage in Season 2. Off Campus is adapting the book series, and tells the love stories of Graham, John Logan, Dean, and John Tucker. If the show chooses to adapt the books chronologically, John Logan and Grace Ivers’s story is next as their book, The Mistake takes place after Hannah and Graham’s The Deal.
However, that might not happen. Given how Season 1 ended, and how the Off Campus cast has spoken about the upcoming season, Dean Di Laurentis and Allie Hayes might be the couple next in line.
Off Campus cast suggests that upcoming season might follow a couple fans might be expecting
If the show decides to follow the order of the books, it will likely tell the story of John and Grace next. Moreover, India Fowler joining the Off Campus Season 2 cast as Grace Ivers also suggests that Grace and John are the next couple in line. However, many shows that adapt novel series do not always follow the chronological order of the books. Off Campus might take a detour as well.
This is because of two reasons. Firstly, Season 1 itself has already established the s*xual tension between Dean (played by Stephen Kalyn) and Allie (played by Mika Abdalla), as we see them hooking up in secret. By the end of the season, it is evident that Dean is developing feelings for Allie. Both Stephen Kalyn and Mika Abdalla are part of the Off Campus Season 2 cast, and given where their characters were at the end of Season 1, the show might follow Dean and Allie’s love story in Season 2.
Moreover, Stephen Kalyn spoke to Bustle about Season 2, saying that he is looking forward to his character
“be put in his place.”
He also added,
“It’s nice to see somebody be humbled,”
In The Score, Dean gets humbled when he, who was known for being a playboy, ended up falling hard for Allie. It wasn’t easy for him to accept that he could indeed fall in love, and Allie took her time to trust him as well. Thus, Kalyn saying that is looking forward to Dean getting humbled strongly suggests that Season 2 might just follow Dean and Allie’s relationship. It is yet to be revealed when Season 2 will premiere on Prime Video.
The show is developed and executive produced by Louisa Levy. Levy and Gina Fattore serve as showrunners. Fattore also executive produces the show. Author of the book series, Elle Kennedy is a producer on the show along with Ryan Silva.
All episodes of Off Campus Season 1 are streaming on Prime Video. Season 2 has been confirmed but a release date is yet to be revealed.
