IShowSpeed has been visiting different host cities to share his World Cup journey and stream his trademark energetic content. During the match between Cabo Verde and Argentina, Speed wore the jersey of Cabo Verde and started streaming. At one moment, one of the Argentinian fans said the ‘N’ word to Speed from a seat behind him and told him to go home.
The streamer stayed silent, but reports claim the Argentinian woman told him to “go cry at the zoo.” Speed quickly shut down the racist remark, signaling that the fans were only making noise by using a barking hand gesture. He gave them no further attention and carried on with his stream.
The incident took place during a highly intense fixture between these two teams on July 3 at the Miami Stadium. Defending champions Argentina ultimately managed to kick tournament debutants Cabo Verde out of the World Cup by defeating them three goals to two.
