Count My Lies, Hulu’s upcoming series about a compulsive liar nanny who lies her way into a new position, only to discover that the household has dangerous secrets, is now in production. The show is based on the book of the same name by Sophie Stava.

It was previously announced that Kit Harrington, Lindsay Lohan, and Shailene Woodley have been cast in the show, among others. Heated Rivalry star François Arnaud has now joined the show in a recurring role.

Heated Rivalry star François Arnaud’s character in Count My Lies

François Arnaud was one of the Heated Rivarly stars who became famous almost overnight after the show was released. Arnaud played Scott Hunter, an ice hockey player who plays for the New York Admirals. Scott’s love story with Kip, his struggle with accepting his sexuality, and his coming out story were some of the most crucial storylines of the show.

Scott and Kip’s relationship also inspired Ilya and Shane to be fearless and embrace their true selves. François Arnaud is also known for playing Tom in In Transit, Théo Carpentier in Yamaska, Cesare Borgia in The Borgias, Oscar in Blindspot, and Paul in Yellowjackets, among others.

As Deadline reports, François Arnaud has now been cast in Count My Lies in a recurring role as Danny, who is a close friend of Violet Lokhart (played by Lindsay Lohan). He is joining a cast that, besides Lohan, includes Kit Harington as Violet’s husband, Jay Lockhart, Shailene Woodley as Sloane Caraway, Katherine LaNasa as Sloane’s mother, Tracy, Lou Diamond Phillips as Paul, Tracy’s boyfriend, Sophia Bush as Allison. More cast members might be announced at a later unspecified time.

The logline of Count My Lies is as follows:

“When compulsive liar Sloane Caraway (Woodley) fibs her way into a nanny position for the gorgeous and charismatic Violet (Lindsay Lohan) and Jay Lockhart (Kit Harington), it seems she’s finally landed her dream job. But little does Sloane know, she’s just entered a household brimming with secrets that are about to explode — with potentially catastrophic consequences for all.”

It is yet to be known how Arnaud’s Danny will fit into the show’s story. He could be a friend Violet confides in about whatever secrets her household carries, or he might just be unaware of what’s going on with his friend. Details about his character, as well as that of others, will hopefully be revealed in due time.

Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger have written Count My Lies for the screen and also serve as showrunners and executive producers. Other executive producers of the show are Lindsay Lohan, Scott Morgan, and Shailene Woodley. Sophie Stava is also attached to the show as a producer. Antonio Campos is directing the show. 20th Television and The Walk-Up Company are the production studios behind the show.

Count My Lies is currently in production, and thus a date of release isn’t available yet. The show is set to be released on Hulu.
