Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin spoke about coping with a recent home intrusion incident by leaning on humor and each other during a red-carpet appearance in New York City.
On Sunday, Apr. 20, the couple graced The Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere, where they spoke with host Erin Lim Rhodes of E! News about the recent situation involving a trespasser at their Los Angeles home earlier in the week.
The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star was playfully chatting about his karate moves, which he showcased in his action-packed movie Under Fire.

When Rhodes subtly asked him if he showed off his karate prowess in the recent incident, Dylan Sprouse responded:
“I thought it would be funny to like, instead of saying anything at all, to just do performative karate, but then Barbara told me it’s cringe and I shouldn’t do it.”
Unsurprisingly, the couple revealed they have been handling the experience by keeping a light attitude. The supermodel told the outlet:
“It’s dealing with the trauma with jokes and fun.”

Dylan Sprouse added:
“But I thought it was funny … This is actually to my detriment, but I’m a really not a ‘too soon’ guy in general. We’re laughing about things the moment they happen. You got to have levity in life.”
The Aftermath star also aired his gratitude for the fact that they were safe.
“Thankfully, no one was hurt, and there was no more violence than what happened. So, it’s all okay.”
Dylan Sprouse pokes fun at wife Barbara Palvin for watching movies in Hungarian dubs
Meanwhile, at one point in the conversation, the couple talked about their excitement about The Devil Wears Prada sequel. Barbara Palvin revealed she “couldn’t sleep” and rewatched the movie before showing up at the premiere.
Dylan Sprouse then poked fun at his wife, revealing that she watched the film in Hungarian dubs.
“The problem is when she rewatches the movies, she watches them in Hungarian dubs. So like, I’m kind of just sitting around, like hearing the Hungarian on. So I didn’t even get a chance to catch up.”

Nonetheless, the actor declared himself a fan of the 2006 chick flick.
“But obviously, the first movie is so iconic, as you know, a 90s baby myself. I’m a fan. I hope we get to see some of that aesthetic come back a little bit. So we’re obviously very excited for today.”
The Los Angeles Police Department was called in the early morning of Apr. 17 to Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin’s Los Angeles residence due to a suspected trespasser.
Per TMZ, Barbara was the one who contacted 911 and reported a “creepy” individual near their home.
Dylan reportedly tackled the alleged burglar and held him at gunpoint until the authorities arrived.
The man was later taken into custody, but his identity remains under wraps. The police also revealed he has outstanding warrants.
