Dak Prescott appears to be moving on and the woman by his side has a complicated connection to his past.
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback, 32, was spotted getting cozy with Caitlin Rance at the Pro Bull Riders World Finals in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday. Rance is not just a familiar face from Prescott’s social circle she was one of the bridesmaids chosen for his now canceled wedding to ex-fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos, 32.
A denied romance, but witnesses tell a different story
Prescott and Rance both denied to reports that their relationship is anything more than a friendship, even as the two were photographed together at the rodeo event. However, multiple eyewitnesses at the PBR World Finals say the pair told a different story with their body language holding hands and behaving like a couple throughout the evening, even while surrounded by a group that included several Cowboys players.
After the event, the group reportedly moved on to a nearby concert, and sources say Prescott and Rance left together at the end of the night.
From Mississippi State to the middle of a messy split
The connection between Prescott and Rance goes back well before any romantic speculation. The two attended Mississippi State University together and have maintained a friendship for years. When Ramos entered the picture, Rance became close with her as well close enough to be named one of her bridesmaids and to join the couple on their joint bachelor bachelorette trip to the Bahamas in March.
It was on that very same trip that everything unraveled. According to previous reports, Ramos discovered that Prescott was allegedly using private social media accounts to send inappropriate messages to multiple women and former partners. Shortly after, she called off their planned wedding in Italy, which had been just weeks away from taking place.
Sources have noted that it is not believed Rance had any inappropriate involvement with Prescott during his relationship with Ramos.
A pattern Ramos reportedly saw coming
Those close to the situation say Ramos had long suspected that Prescott’s communication with other women was an ongoing issue throughout their relationship. Despite those concerns, she reportedly stayed with him hoping things would improve particularly for the sake of their young family. The two share daughters 1, Margaret Jane, age 2, and 2, Aurora Rayne, 11 months.
The couple had also managed to keep a fragile peace when it came to their children. Just last month, Prescott and Ramos avoided a courtroom standoff by reaching a temporary custody agreement in the final hours before a scheduled hearing. A court document confirmed the arrangement was reached in the best interest of the children, though the specific terms were not made public.
