Apple TV+ is gearing up for one of its most packed summers yet. The streaming platform has confirmed a sweeping lineup of new originals and returning favorites set to roll out from May through August 2026, featuring some of the biggest names in Hollywood and several projects years in the making. For subscribers who have been waiting for the service to flex its full creative muscle, that moment appears to have arrived.
The momentum is already building. Two recent premieres Widow’s Bay and Margo’s Got Money Troubles each landed a 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes, signaling that the platform’s recent output is resonating with both critics and audiences. That strong footing sets the stage for what comes next.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed — May 20
The summer officially kicks off with this darkly comedic thriller, premiering May 20. Tatiana Maslany stars as Paula, a newly divorced mother who becomes convinced she witnessed a crime while also fighting through a custody battle and a personal identity crisis. Her self driven investigation slowly unravels a deeper conspiracy tied to blackmail and youth soccer. David Gordon Green directs all 10 episodes.
Star City — May 29
Later in May, Apple TV+ launches Star City, a spinoff of its acclaimed alternate history series For All Mankind. Rather than the American perspective, this paranoid thriller is set behind the Iron Curtain, exploring the Soviet side of a reimagined space race in which the U.S.S.R. sent the first human to the moon. The series follows cosmonauts, engineers and intelligence officers navigating the pressures and risks of that pivotal moment in alt-history.
Cape Fear — June 5
One of the summer’s most anticipated arrivals is Cape Fear, premiering June 5. Javier Bardem plays Max Cady, a notorious killer released from prison with one goal: revenge against the attorneys who put him there. Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson play the couple in his crosshairs. The film marks the third adaptation of the novel The Executioners and is executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg, who previously collaborated on the 1991 film version.
Silo season 3 — July 3
Science fiction fans have reason to mark their calendars for July 3, when Silo returns for its third season. Rebecca Ferguson’s character, Juliette Nichols, survived her forced expulsion from the silo but returns with memory loss as the community recovers from rebellion and confronts a new threat. A parallel storyline set in the Before Times follows a journalist and a congressman uncovering a conspiracy with sweeping, irreversible consequences. New episodes will drop every Friday through Sept. 4. The series has already been renewed for a fourth and final season.
Ted Lasso season 4 — Aug. 5
Perhaps the most celebrated return on the lineup, Ted Lasso is back on Aug. 5 for its fourth season. This time, the lovably optimistic coach moves to England’s second division to lead a women’s soccer team. Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein are both confirmed to return, and the season promises the same spirit of taking chances that made the show a global phenomenon.
More series rounding out the slate
Beyond the five headliners, Apple TV+ is also bringing back Women in Blue (Las Azules) for a second season, picking up with its protagonist now promoted to lieutenant as she navigates a politically charged murder investigation tied to a 1968 student massacre in Mexico. The platform is also adding Unconditional, a thriller about a mother fighting to free her daughter after an arrest for drug smuggling in Moscow pulls the family into a dangerous web of crime and corruption. And a new crime drama starring Anya Taylor Joy as a con artist named Lucky, who is hunted by both the FBI and a crime boss after a heist goes wrong, rounds out what is shaping up to be a genuinely formidable summer run for the streamer.
