What is a General Hospital summer without some fun and sun hanging out by the pool? It’s never a dull moment at the Metro Court pool, which often seems like a character unto itself. Since Carly began selling memberships to her hotel pool in 2021, many an adventure and calamity has happened at the pool and this summer feels like it will be no exception.
Metro Court Pool Past Incidents
While 2024 was quite dull at the Metro Court pool, other years were not quite as uneventful. In 2022, a singles party for Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) dating app, Society Setups, introduced Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) to the Port Charles scene when he parachuted into the pool and landed on Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). That led to their short-lived romance that didn’t go anywhere in the end.
In 2023, Ned (Wally Kurth) took a tumble into the pool and woke up believing he was Eddie Maine, the rock star persona he had taken on nearly three decades earlier. In the 1990s, Ned knew that Eddie wasn’t real, but the 2023 version truly believed he was a whole other human being until a tumble into the lake brought his memory back.
In 2024, Kristina (Kate Mansi) tripped over a duffel bag in Ava’s (Maura West) room and fell out the window right into the pool — while nine months pregnant. Tragically, Kristina lost the baby. Surprisingly, she returned to the pool the next year, but 2025 was blissfully without incident.
What We Can Expect at the Pool This Year
In 2026, Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) are set to enjoy a day at the pool, but there is a party coming up that is bound to be fascinating and entertaining.
Ric (Rick Hearst) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) plan to throw a book launch party for Molly at the pool, with Cody in attendance as Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) boyfriend and moral support. Cody has already mentioned he sees sparks flying between Ric and Alexis, a thought that absolutely horrified Molly.
What other chaos can happen at the Metro Court pool this summer? Will Rocco (Finn Carr) and Danny (Asher Anonyzyn) have their final battle with the bad guys in time to be towel boys again? Will Gio be everyone’s favorite lifeguard, ready for duty? Will someone fall in and wake up as someone else? Heck, maybe Cody will even propose to Molly in the same spot he landed four years ago.
