It’s official. General Hospital’s Willow is nuttier than her twin sister, something we weren’t sure was possible, but here we are. We always knew that the cult member turned school teacher turned nurse turned cancer treatment spokeswoman turned congresswoman was a little off her chain, but until today, we never realized just how diabolical she was.
Guess what I did, Mom?

Nina (Cynthia Watros) had known for months that there was a possibility that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) might one day tell her that she did indeed shoot Drew (Cameron Mathison), but she tried to shove the thought to the back of her mind. But that one day came today and Nina was shocked, but not so shocked. What she did not expect was for it to get worse.
Willow was on a roll and just wanted it all out there, so she turned on the waterworks and told Nina that there was no way she could go on with her life with Drew after she was acquitted, but she also couldn’t just walk away. She’d convinced a jury she was a loving wife. So, she took Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) up on his offer and gave Drew a drug to make it look as if he had a stroke. And guess what? Now, Nina also gave him that drug.
As Nina realized her wackadoo daughter had set her up, the look of horror on her face was palpable. Willow apologized and cried that she was doing Nina a favor. Now, she didn’t have to decide between her and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke). If she wanted to save herself, she didn’t have to choose. Willow made the choice for her.
Hold up, Nina

Well, that was quite a tale and performance, Willow. And par for the course. But Nina? Well, she was par for the course, as well, but that par for the course? It needs to end today. If it does not, Nina is the worst mother on soap operas.
Yes, we know Nina has spent the last dozen years absolutely desperate to be a mother to the children taken from her womb when she was in a 20-year coma, but that doesn’t mean you have to keep coddling the living one who has proven herself to be crazier than the presumed dead one who fell off a cliff.
There comes a time when Nina has to tell this ridiculous girl no and send her where she belongs. And where Willow belongs is Ferncliff. We’re not even sure if a good stint in the Port Charles mental institution for the criminally insane will do the trick at this point. Willow is that far gone. But Nina, you need to give it a try. Your daughter is out of her mind and at this point, it’s necessary. We know you can do it, Nina. Put that girl where she belongs before you end up regretting it.
