Will Ridley Scott’s The Terror return for another Season? Details explored

The Terror Season 3 finale was released this month on AMC+ and Shudder. Episode Starry Night ended with a scene where Pepper made a brave decision to save the trapped patients inside the hospital from the devil’s attack. His son Anthony became possessed, and so he decided to take the devil inside him. The conclusion was not about defeating evil but living with it. His sacrifice to save the patients in the final moment was indeed a heroic deed.

Starry Night’s ending feels complete. The creator, David Kajganich, explained that he wanted a hopeful message rather than a big fight or a hopeless ending. David’s decision ended Pepper’s journey and the anthology series in a hopeful way.

Many fans believe the series should continue to focus on Pepper because of its strong online viewership. However, according to Collider, Season 3 or Devil in Silver is the final Season of the series.

Will The Terror return for another season? Here’s what we know

The Terror fans are curious about the show’s future, but AMC+ didn’t confirm the series for Season 4 renewal. Previously, viewers experienced the return of Season 3 after a seven-year gap, but it ended earlier this week.

The Terror Season 3 Episode 6 sparked hope among viewers who believed the story still had potential for further development. However, as per Collider, the Ridley Scott series will not return for Season 4 as the latest installment was its final. For now, fans can find alternatives to this show like The North Water, Chernobyl, Taboo, and Fortitude.

Ridley Scott is one of the lead producers of the horror series. The anthology series premiered in 2018 and 2019 with its initial two seasons, but it only returned earlier this year under the new banner Devil in Silver. Previously on this show, a British naval expedition was trapped in the ice while searching for the North-West Passage, but Devil in Silver took the series in a very different direction.

The latest season shifted its focus to Pepper, who was wrongly committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital. This shift took the series away from its earlier historical horror and turned it into a tense psychological struggle. The powerful finale highlighted that Pepper’s fight was more than survival.

Scott’s next project is on the way!

After the success of the horror series, Ridley Scott will be returning to sci-fi this summer with The Dog Stars. It is a post-apocalyptic science fiction film written by Mark L. Smith. It stars Josh Brolin, Jacob Elordi, Margaret Qualley, Allison Janney, Guy Pearce, and Benedict Wong. 20th Century Studios will release this film on August 28 this year.
