For the longest time, Episode 7 of The Boys Season 5 has had a theory attached to the very title of the episode, and it is not uncommon to think three of our fan-favorite characters might just be dead by tomorrow.
The penultimate episode titled The Frenchman, the Female, and the Man Called Mother’s Milk, has ignited a lot of panic online. Why? Because Frenchie, Kimiko, and Mother’s Milk are all directly named in it, which feels a little bit too specific this late into the final season.
Considering Homelander has gotten his hands on the V-1, and is now stronger than ever, he’s dangerous than ever before. This time, he’s truly stronger and better than everyone around in his orbit.
And if the show follows even parts of the comic’s ending, things could get ugly very fast for The Boys.
Why The Boys Season 5 Episode 7’s title has fans worried about Frenchie, Kimiko, and M.M.
The title for The Boys Season 5 Episode 7…. is certainly a choice. Usually whenever a TV show decides to attach a characters name into the title of a particular episode, it obviously means something is about to happen to said character.
And with Season 5 heading into its last two episodes ever, we’re definitely expecting some massive losses.
An easter egg we could latch on to here is the original comic itself. The episode does not call Kimiko by her name. Instead, the title uses “The Female,” which is what she was called in the comics. Frenchie is also referred to as “The Frenchman,” yet another callback to the original source material.
In the original story, Butcher completely loses all of his control once he decides every supe has to die, even the people who are the closest to him. M.M, Frenchie, and Kimiko all end up getting caught in Butcher’s destruction after finding out how far Butcher is willing to go to eradicate all of the supes from Earth.
The show has already changed plenty of arcs from the comics, so nothing is guaranteed, and every theory should be taken with a grain of salt. Regardless, making use of their comic era names right before the finale feels very much intentional.
How Butcher’s next move could completely destroy The Boys from the inside
A huge reason these death theories are literally exploding online right now is because of Butcher himself. Earlier in The Boys Season 5, the team was still *mostly* united around wanting to stop Homelander.
However, now things are different.
Homelander is now unstoppable after injecting himself with the original Compound V, and Butcher will obviously be more desperate than ever to have him killed.
The desperation is what comes into play. In the comics, Butcher turned towards a terrifying path near the end. He stopped caring about any kind of collateral damage and decided that anyone who has Compound V in their veins, have to die.
Not just Homelander. Everyone.
That being said, the show has taken a lot of creative liberties and hence, it’s not really an all-faithful adaptation to the comics. Therefore, the same ending may not be what we get here.
Considering Frenchie and M.M. are not supes on the show, this already makes their situation very different from the comic version.
Still, the n The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 title clearly puts these three characters in danger. Whether they actually die or not is something the final episodes will reveal.
