Marissa Lawrence has some big news to share. The wife of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence announced on June 10 that the couple is expecting a baby boy, their second child. Marissa posted a video on Instagram of herself and the Jaguars star walking on the beach with their daughter, Shae Lynn, who was born back in January 2025. At one point in the clip, little Shae Lynn can be seen holding up her mom’s ultrasound photos.
“The four of us. Thank you Jesus for our baby boy!!,” she captioned the post.
Trevor Lawrence and Marissa, both twenty-six years old, actually go way back. As per a report shared by The Knot, the two are both from Cartersville, Georgia. The couple even attended the same high school and went to prom together. Marissa has an athletic background herself, as she went on to play college soccer at Anderson University in South Carolina after high school. That being said, she also built a life outside of sports entirely. In 2021, mere months after her wedding to Lawrence, Marissa Lawrence announced she was coming on board with Love, Gigi Event Design as a wedding and events planner.

Marissa Lawrence earns praise from Trevor after powering through a ten pound delivery:
Shortly after Shae Lynn was born, Trevor Lawrence sat down with People back in February 2025 and had plenty to say about his wife. The Jaguars quarterback was still finding his footing as a new dad but made clear the experience had been nothing short of wonderful.
“We’re still adjusting, but it’s just been awesome,” he shared.
Lawrence expanded on how life had shifted since Shae arrived.
“She’s great, I mean, it definitely just changes your perspective; changes how you operate just on a day-to-day basis. The whole day obviously revolves around just one person you’re taking care of now, so it’s just, life’s different, but it’s amazing,” he said.
Shae Lynn came into the world at ten pounds, two ounces, a detail Lawrence made sure to highlight when talking about Marissa Lawrence.
“She was not a small baby, so Marissa’s a champ. Seeing her go through that, and now she’s recovered and feeling great, it’s pretty amazing to see your partner go through that,” he added.
Lawrence also opened up about watching Shae develop in those early weeks, from holding her after months of thinking about her in Marissa Lawrence’s belly to noticing her grow more alert by the day.
“In that newborn stage, they develop so quick, they grow so quick. It’s just, every day she’s more alert. You can tell, she’s starting to figure out a little bit of what’s going on,” he said.
Trevor Lawrence credits Marissa for balancing the craziness as couple’s bond stretches back to fifth grade:
Trevor first met Marissa Lawrence in fifth grade. As per a report shared by People, Trevor sat down at Radio Row in February and shared how the couple’s history stretches all the way back to childhood.
“We haven’t necessarily been dating since fifth grade,” he explained, though he added they have “known each other for a long time.”
The two dated briefly in grade school before eventually finding their way back to each other in high school and again during college, with Lawrence at Clemson and Marissa Lawrence playing soccer at Anderson University. He described the early connection as “close to” love at first sight.
“We’ve seen each other grow up, and I think that’s a really cool thing. And she’s seen the best and worst of me, and she stuck around. I’m thankful for that,” Lawrence shared.
He also spoke openly about what Marissa Lawrence means to him on a day-to-day basis.
“Just to have her in my corner, I think, is so important. I wouldn’t know what to do if I didn’t have her. She manages everything so well. I think it takes a special person to do what she does and to have to kind of balance all the craziness that we go through,” he said.
Lawrence added that
“All the things that I would ever have wished for in a wife, she is all those things. So it’s pretty special to have her and to know her for so long.”
