Margo Catsimatidis, the wife of billionaire businessman John Catsimatidis, became a trending topic on social media after US President Donald Trump posted a photo with the caption on Truth Social:
“GREAT DAUGHTER.. MY HONOR”
The post was quick to attract attention as social media users noted that the woman in the image did not appear to be one of Trump’s daughters. As speculations spread, numerous users claimed that the woman was Margo Catsimatidis, while others proposed alternate theories for the photograph’s origins.
Why is Margo Catsimatidis trending?
Margo’s name started trending after multiple users identified her as the woman in the post. A user wrote:
“OK – I think I’ve solved the mystery…I’m pretty sure the woman is Margo Catsimatidis, and I think the picture was taken at Camp David (…where Trump is this weekend), probably during the Clinton Administration.”
Another social media user stated:
“That is Margo Catsimatidis. Maybe he’s secretly her father. Epstein said Trump liked to f*ck his friends’ wives.”
A third user added:
“UPDATE: I was wrong ITS Margo Catsimatidis … who interestingly enough … her daughter Andrea married the SON of Tricia Nixon.”
The user continued:
“President Trump posted a photo of of a woman that says “GREAT DAUGHTER.. MY HONOR” and everyone is confused because neither are his daughters. I’m pretty sure it’s Tricia Nixon at Camp David. Her sister Julie married DAVID EISENHOWER who Camp David is named after.”
The theory gathered traction after Trump reportedly spent the weekend at Camp David, prompting some users to assume that he may have discovered an older photograph during his visit. However, there has been no official confirmation till now regarding the identity of the woman or the date the image was taken.
Who is Margo Catsimatidis?
Margo Catsimatidis is the wife of billionaire businessman John Catsimatidis, who owns the supermarket chain Gristedes and is the CEO of Red Apple Group.
Margo was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, in a family of six brothers and sisters. She became the youngest person ever invited to dance with the famed Bolshoi Ballet at age 12 in Indianapolis.
She had previously revealed that she left home with only $100 after winning a college scholarship. She left for New York in 1971 with the intention of pursuing a dance career. In an interview, she described working at a grocery shop and earning $47 a 90-hour work week before meeting her future spouse.
Speaking about her work and relationship, she stated:
“I earned $47 for my 90-hour week. They raised it 25 cents. I didn’t date John for three years. He took me up for a piece of cheesecake.”
She continued:
“We worked all the time, growing the company. He always had that sixth sense about things and still is the most amazing guy I know. He can figure out a problem that nobody else can. One day, after years of dating, he says: ‘Margo, I’ve carried this in my pocket for two weeks,’ and he pulls out a ring. Four carats.”
Margo has grown active in humanitarian and entrepreneurial enterprises over the years, most notably through WABC Radio, which the Catsimatidis family purchased after the station’s financial struggles.
Reflecting on her time in New York, where she moved to pursue a career after leaving her family behind, she said:
“Look, I love New York City. Wouldn’t live anywhere else.”
She then spoke about the possibility of John running and what she would do if she were elected:
“If he wanted, he could run for governor. Me, I’d make sure money gets to the right people for the right programs. I’d get homeless off the streets. Quality of life is what I’d work on. The quality of life and respect of the police.”
The Catsimatidis family’s connection to Camp David
The renewed attention to Margo Catsimatidis and her family has brought to light their long history with Camp David.
According to previous reports, John Catsimatidis contributed to the chapel at Camp David during the administration of former President George H.W. Bush. The billionaire has long had links with important politicians from both major parties, and he has publicly declared that he supports pals no matter his political allegiance.
This has just fueled speculations that the post President Donald Trump uploaded on Truth Social was taken at Camp David.
As the post keeps going viral and the image continues to be circulated, so do the theories. Some claim that the woman in the photo is Trump’s ex-wife, Marla Maples, while some claim that the woman is Betty Tucker, who is the wife of former Arkansas governor Jim Guy Tucker, with an Arkansas State Seal blanket visible in the shot.
As of now, there is no confirmation on the identity of the woman, the location or the relationship to Donald Trump.
