The series follows Hollis Shaw, a successful food influencer whose carefully curated life starts to fall apart after a devastating loss.

Garner is very much in character, playing a warm and spiraling woman, something she’s always been so good at. That tension is what the entire trailer for The Five-Star Weekend highlights, as Hollis tries to run the most ideal healing vacation, but it seems to be falling apart at the seams.
The supporting cast is also superb. Regina Hall’s wit and honesty as the character Dru-Ann Jones are on point, and Chloë Sevigny as Tatum McKenzie seems all set to start a weekend fiasco. Gemma Chan’s Gigi Ling brings refinement and tranquility to the ensemble, while D’Arcy Carden looks like she will play a balancing act between humor and heartfelt delivery as Brooke Kirtley. Also, glimpses of Timothy Olyphant as Jack, Hollis’ teenage boyfriend, and Harlow Jane as Caroline, Hollis’ daughter, will bring a little more charm to the show!
