Eric André has a confession to make. The comedian, forty-three, admitted to using his ex-girlfriend’s Netflix account for years, while chatting with People at the 2026 Netflix Upfront in New York City on May 13.
“The only reason I got back on my account that I was locked out of for years is because I made this movie and I talked to people very high up in Netflix to get back in,” André shared,
The new comedy movie Eric André was referring to was Little Brother.
He came close to taking things even further.
“Yeah, I was literally just shy of asking Ted,” he joked.
Ted being his reference to Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos.
As per a report shared by The Sun, André was previously in a relationship with model Emily Ratajkowski in 2023. The American TV host greeted his fans on Valentine’s Day that year with a cheeky shot of the two together.
That being said, Ratajkowski isn’t the only notable name linked to the comedian. Back in 2012, rumors surfaced that Eric André had been dating Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actress Tatyana Ali, though not a huge amount is known about that relationship. After they separated, he was said to have stayed single for around two years. As per the same The Sun report, André also dated Trance actress Rosario Dawson in late 2016.
Eric André praises John Cena and opens up about their bromance on the Little Brother set:

As per a report shared by People, Little Brother is directed by Matt Spicer. In the film, a tightly wound realtor played by John Cena, watches his picture-perfect life get an extreme makeover when his lovably chaotic little brother, played by André, suddenly reappears. The movie also stars Michelle Monaghan, Christopher Meloni, Sherry Cola, Ego Nwodim, and Caleb Hearon.
André opened up to People about working alongside Cena.
“John’s the best. He’s a goat. He’s goated, man. He can do it all — comedy, drama, wrestling,” he shared.
André added that the two had a natural “little brother, big brother” vibe going on set.
“Yeah, we went method for this one,” he revealed.
“And it got a little bromantic,” he added.
As for what audiences can expect from the film, André kept things brief.
“You know the ups and downs, lefts and rights, every emotion,” he explained.
John Cena praises Eric André and compares comedians to WWE superstars:

As per a report shared by People, Cena also spoke at the Netflix Upfront, sharing that the two had “a bunch of fun” on set together. He added that he’s “a huge fan” of The Eric André Show.
“I have not laughed out loud so much as long as I can remember,” he said.
“If you need a refresher course or if you haven’t seen it, The Eric Andre Show is pretty crazy. And when I read the script [for Little Brother], it’s absolutely for Eric, and he just kind of needed a sounding board for his jokes, and I am happy to be that sounding board,” he added.
Cena also compared working with comedians to the world of professional wrestling.
“I always compare everything to WWE,” Cena continued.
“It’s very much like being around WWE superstars. There’s no wrong way to do our business. And everyone has a different recipe, and comedians see it the same way. There’s no real wrong way to do comedy, and everybody kind of has a different perspective,” he added.
Sizing up André in the comedy space, Cena said it was “hard to compare” him to anyone else, noting he’s “not so risk-averse” with his material.
“He’s crazy, but so thoughtful, and his mind is always working, and it’s just awesome to see,” Cena shared.
Eric André played coy on Emily Ratajkowski breakup:

The topic of his split from Ratajkowski came up in 2023, during André’s appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show. The radio host playfully pressed him on the status of the relationship. André kept his answer short.
“A gentleman never tells,” he said.
“I will respect privacy and boundaries,” André added.
As per a report shared by People, Little Brother premieres on Netflix on June 26.
