The Christmas Note actress-turned-podcaster, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who gained mainstream fame after starring as Meadow Soprano in David Chase’s HBO crime-drama series The Sopranos, opened up about her marriage to AJ Discala in her brand-new memoir, And So It Is… A Memoir of Acceptance and Hope, which was released on May 5, 2026, as per Us Weekly.
In her recently released book, the 44-year-old Jamie-Lynn Sigler called her marriage to AJ Discala a “big mistake.” While she reflected on her first marriage and her relationship with Discala, she also mentioned in her memoir that when she was working on The Sopranos, AJ might have stolen money from her bank account, according to Us Weekly.
Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss star, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, married AJ Discala in 2003, when she was just 20 years old. While their marriage did not last long, they split in 2005 after two years. According to IMDb, AJ Discala, born in February 1971, is an actor who starred in films and TV shows like Seek & Hide and Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica. Besides being Jamie’s husband, Discala was also her manager. In her memoir, Sigler wrote about Discala:
“AJ was ten years older than me and had an air of confidence about him. He was tall, with dark hair and eyes, handsome, and incredibly charismatic.”
She further wrote:
“He was one of those people who could strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel like they’d known him forever. AJ was a natural flirt, but not in a way that felt romantic or inappropriate.”
During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly for a cover story, Jamie-Lynn Sigler mentioned that her relationship with AJ Discala was “toxic” and “complicated”. She said:
“As the relationship evolved, can I look back and see a young girl who was possibly being taken advantage of? Yes. But I also don’t think that he really thought that that was happening either.”
Sigler added:
“I think we were both caught up in a ride, and I think our relationship was really toxic, and I think that it was really complicated, and it started off really messy.”

As cited by Us Weekly, in her new memoir, Jamie-Lynn Sigler recalled that she found out from her accountant, who was a family friend, that there were discrepancies in her bank account, which led her to think that his husband at the time, AJ Discala, might have stolen thousands of dollars from her. In the book, she wrote:
“I didn’t even know how much money I had or what I was worth.”
She continued and wrote:
“The forensic accountant broke down what he believed had been happening. I would be paid a certain amount per episode for the Sopranos, and that would go into my corporation account. The next day, a portion of that money would be moved to our joint account for living expenses. But then a week or so later, a much smaller but still sizable amount of that money from our joint account would be moved to a different account that I didn’t have access to or know about.”
While Jamie-Lynn Sigler is still not sure about where that money went, as she did not put the effort into recovering it, she wrote:
“To this day, I don’t know what happened with the money. But I don’t care anymore. That money is a chapter I want closed forever.”
