Where was Paris Jackson during the ‘Michael’ film debut in Germany? King of Pop’s daughter sits out biopic premiere while family attends

Paris Jackson did not attend the Berlin premiere of the soon-to-be-released movie Michael, where several members of the Jackson family were seen in attendance of the world premiere of the movie in Uber Eats Music Hall.

This was despite the presence of two of Paris’ brothers, namely Prince Jackson and Bigi Jackson, and actor Jaafar Jackson, who stars as Michael Jackson in the movie, at the premiere.

Pictures from TMZ, taken while her family was at the premiere, showed the actress-model in West Hollywood hanging out with a friend.

Paris Jackson had shown prior hesitation regarding the film in question. Her initial response came after comments made by Colman Domingo in which he implied that she had played an active role in the creation of the movie; she went on to say that she felt parts of the screenplay were out of touch with her viewpoint.

The disagreement was eventually attributed to a misunderstanding, though her concerns about the production have continued to surface.

Her relationship with executors of her father’s estate, John Branca and John McClain, has also remained strained. Paris Jackson recently criticized what she described as production setbacks tied to the film, including reports of costly reshoots.

Other members of the Jackson family at the Berlin premiere included Jermaine Jackson and Jackie Jackson, highlighting the family’s presence at the launch of one of the most closely-watched music biopics.

Michael debuts in theaters on Apr. 24, 2026.

Executors claim Paris Jackson also “benefited greatly” in the estate earnings

The premiere comes days after the executors Branca and McClain “mock and belittle” Michael Jackson’s one and only daughter in new court documents, obtained by TMZ.

In the filings, the executors claim that Paris Jackson “benefited greatly” from their hard work, while the model questions the management of huge bonuses and fees. Her team said in a statement:

“At nearly every hearing, and again in this filing, executors try to avoid the merits by characterizing Paris’ concerns as lawyer-driven or in service of some purported desire for media attention. Neither is true.”

The missive continued, citing that the two executors milk the legal back-and-forth for media attention, adding that using the press to:

“attack Michael Jackson’s daughter is unacceptable and is not mirrored by any concomitant effort by Paris.”

Paris Jackson further stated that the executors are using her father’s money to attack her in the media, and even accuse the duo of being “sexist,” especially at the part when they:

“further patronized Paris by describing themselves as the ‘grown-ups,’ in contrast to a 28-year-old woman and her adult siblings.”

The TV personality also cited that Branca and McClain are bullying her into submission.

Meanwhile, attorney Jonathan Steinsapir, the estate’s representative, has previously shared with the outlet that Paris Jackson’s claims are “false and specious,” stating:

“The executors have been meticulous and conscientious in every decision that they have made. It is shocking that Ms. Jackson, through her attorneys have made these false and specious objections, considering she has and will continue to benefit substantially from dedicated and tireless work of the executors of the estate. Ms. Jackson has already received roughly $65 million in benefits and stands to inherit many hundreds of millions more.”

The representative continued:

“This is from an estate that was $500 million in debt and facing bankruptcy at the time of Michael’s death, but was turned by the executors into a business generating billions in revenue.”
