Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson dated for almost a year before they reportedly split in 1999. After the recent Instagram post, Katie and Joshua have once again sparked the romance rumors.
On April 16, Holmes uploaded a photo with Joshua Jackson. The caption of the post read:
“We are so thrilled to be a part of the Tribeca Film Festival this June with our film Happy Hours. So many beautiful people worked on this project. And working with Josh again was a dream.”
While fans were happy to see them reunite professionally, many also noticed Holmes’s liking comments that hinted at a possible romance. This has led some fans to wonder if there could be more than just friendship between them.
Katie Holmes has not released any statement on the same, keeping the rumors as speculation for now.

Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson reportedly started dating during the filming of Dawson’s Creek in 1998. However, the relationship reportedly ended the next year. Holmes, in an interview with Rolling Stone, said at that time:
“I’m just going to say that I met somebody last year. I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable that I will treasure it always. And that I feel so fortunate because he’s now one of my best friends. He’s been in the business so long, and he’s really helped me. I respect him as a friend and as a professional.”
Even though they were not together, the two worked on the project until 2003. Three years back, Joshua was asked about his relationship with Katie by The Times, to which he said:
“We were kids. So it was a full-on stars-moon-sky romance.”
While Joshua Jackson said the Dawson’s Creek cast has a WhatsApp group, Katie Holmes’ response when asked about the same suggested she wasn’t really aware of it and doesn’t use the app much.
Last year, Joshua once again opened up about his bond with his ex-girlfriend, Katie Holmes, saying:
“It’s not a daily call. Sometimes it’s not a weekly, or monthly, or even a half-yearly call, but when you’re together…there’s always that, like, I know you know.”
Holmes and Jackson are currently working on a new project together titled Happy Hours. While many are speculating that the co-workers are back together because of their frequent sightings, a source told Entertainment Tonight that they remain just friends, adding:
“They have a special bond and love how excited fans are. Rekindling a romantic relationship is not likely.”
