Todd Bridges and his wife, Bettijo B. Hirschi have announced their separation following their marriage of three years.
Bridges is best known for his role as Willis Jackson on the classic sitcom Diff’rent Strokes. The couple tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in Beverly Hills in September 2022. They reportedly met on a dating app and got engaged six months later.
On January 14, the 60-year-old actor addressed the split in a statement to TMZ noting that it was a mutual decision and said:
“After much thought and mutual respect, we have decided to end our marriage. During our time together we shared meaningful moments, but have chosen to go our separate ways. I ask for privacy and wish her nothing but love and happiness moving forward.”
This was Todd Bridges’ third marriage. He was previously married to Dori Bridges for fourteen years until their separation in 2012. According to his IMDb, he was briefly married to Rebecca from 1989 to 1991.

Todd Bridges is also a father to a daughter, Bo Bridges (Bo J. Rushing). She is from his previous relationship and was born in 1996. She is the half-sister of Spencir who was born in 1998. Bo has pursued acting to some extent, appearing in projects like The Upgrade and Big Ball’n. She also featured with family on Oprah: Where Are They Now?. She maintains a low profile in comparison to her father and half-brother.
Todd Bridges announced his separation from Dori in a statement. According to a report in E! News, the statement read:
“It is confirmed that after 14 years of marriage, the Bridges have decided that disunion is in the best interest of their collective futures. Although Todd and Dori are going their separate ways, they are mutually committed to the well-being of their son.”
Their marriage ended amicably, in contrast to Bridges’ recent marriage to Bettijo B. Hirschi, which was also a mutual decision. He has been vocal about overcoming his personal struggles with substance abuse in the past. However, he has not linked those directly to the divorce.
