What is Chris Noth doing now? SATC star’s life after alleged sexual assault scandal explored as he fuels Sarah Jessica Parker feud rumours

Chris Noth made his feelings clear when he responded to a pointed social media comment involving Sarah Jessica Parker. The interaction took place on January 10, when Noth, who portrayed Mr. Big, Carrie Bradshaw’s longtime Sex and the City love interest, shared a photo on Instagram. He captioned the post,

“F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”

As per a report shared by Us Weekly, one user responded in the comments section with a remark referencing Parker, writing,

“You mean f*** sjp & her award right? Lol.”

The comment appeared to reference Sarah Jessica Parker recently receiving the Carol Burnett Award at the 2026 Golden Globes, which she accepted ahead of the ceremony during the Golden Eve special. Noth replied to the comment with a single word:

“Right.”

The actor was removed from the Sex and the City franchise following allegations of sexual assault detailed in a 2021 The Hollywood Reporter report. The claims surfaced shortly after the debut of the And Just Like That… reboot, which featured the death of Chris Noth’s character in the premiere episode. Chris Noth later returned to acting in 2025 in The Block after a four-year informal hiatus following multiple sexual assault allegations.

A 2021 The Hollywood Reporter report detailed sexual assault allegations against Chris Noth from two women, Zoe and Lily(pseudonyms). The women said they approached the outlet separately and months apart, explaining that press and promotional coverage of HBO Max’s And Just Like That… resurfaced memories of alleged incidents from years earlier.

According to the report, one woman alleged she was assaulted at Noth’s West Hollywood apartment in 2004, while the other claimed an assault occurred at his Greenwich Village home in 2015. Both told The Hollywood Reporter that Noth raped them from behind while facing a mirror. Noth denied the allegations, calling them

“categorically false.”

The allegations did not stop there. A third woman later accused Noth of assaulting her in 2010 while she was working as a hostess in New York City at age 18. Her story was chronicled in a Daily Beast report under the pseudonym Ava.

Ava explained that she was hired at Da Marino near Times Square shortly after graduating from an acting conservatory. She said her job involved drawing customers into the restaurant so she could sing.

“The better I was as bait, the longer I got to sing,” she said.

She alleged that Chris Noth was intoxicated and recalled him pulling her onto his lap while groping her and telling her,

“I love Canadian women.”

Ava said the experience left her conflicted, noting,

“I remember how electrifying his hand, the hand I watched hold Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, felt grabbing me.”

According to Ava, the situation escalated when Chris Noth followed her into the restaurant office near the end of her shift.

“At first, it felt as though I was the only person in the universe who could hear me saying no,” she shared.

Ava said she ultimately escaped after convincing Chris Noth she would meet him elsewhere. She later received texts from him asking for her address, but she never responded.

Chris Noth responded to allegations, saying claims lingered as he returned to public campaigns:

As per a 2023 report shared by USA Today, Chris Noth said his only admitted wrongdoing was cheating on his wife and that allegations about him continued to linger.

“I strayed on my wife, and it’s devastating to her and not a very pretty picture, what it isn’t is a crime,” he shared.

Following the allegations, Chris Noth was fired from CBS’ The Equalizer. After the news broke, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis addressed the situation involving their former co-star. In a joint statement shared on social media, the actresses said they were “deeply saddened.”

“We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences, we know it must be a very difficult thing for them to do and we commend them for it.”

Noth later said he was shunned by the industry. In 2023, he appeared as the face of Samuelsohn, a bespoke suit company that launched a campaign raising awareness about men’s mental health. Noth continued to deny the allegations and said any sexual encounters he was involved in were consensual.

“You give yourself the same excuses that many men do; it’s just a little side dance, and it’s fun, you’re not hurting anybody. No one’s going to know about this, you know, and sex is just enjoyable. And suddenly, a lot of people want to have sex with you. It’s like, ‘Well, I’m not going to get this chance again.'”

Although he initially did not comment beyond repeating his original statement, Noth later spoke about the impact of the allegations.

“There’s nothing I can say to change anyone’s mind when you have that kind of a tidal wave,” he said.

“It sounds defensive. I’m not. There’s no criminal court. There’s no criminal trial. There’s nothing for me to get on the stand about and get my story out, get witnesses. And there’s even more absurd add-ons that are completely ridiculous, that have absolutely no basis in fact. And I don’t like talking about it because as soon as I do, you’ll get the Daily Mail or someone grabbing a part of it and doing it, and I don’t want my kids seeing that.”
