What happened between Taylor Frankie Paul and ex Dakota Mortenson? Complete dispute explained as influencer opens up about ‘ugly parts’ of healing

Taylor Frankie Paul has opened up on the ugly parts of healing through an Instagram post. The influencer started dating Dakota Mortenson, reportedly in 2022.

The couple reportedly broke up last year and recently made the headlines for domestic violence allegations.

Speaking of the healing, she wrote in an Instagram post:

“Here come the ugly parts of what healing actually looks like. If you know me you know I’ll admit my parts, flaws, and faults. I’m well aware thats apart of it. We’ll get there. This public atrocity that I not only lived through once but twice now, on even a bigger scale was ultimately the cost to my freedom. I wouldn’t wish this upon my worst enemy or even the ones who publicized it. I cried on my knees in pain while also saying THANK YOU 🙏🏼 we have a road ahead but regardless I’m forever freed from a certain living hell I couldn’t find my way out of.”

The influencer added that she felt really hurt but got through it with the faith and support from people around her. She added:

“God undoubtedly had a hand in this because after waiting 7 weeks on the 7th day EXACTLY I received the call all charges dropped. Those are his numbers symbolic for his plans which I’m nervous to see what’s in store … steps moving forward are the very basics. We’re working on eating, movement, rest, and retraining the nervous system.”

Taylor Frankie Paul ended the caption by adding that she will be keeping everyone updated on her progress.

Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortenson dispute explained

Taylor Frankie Paul and ex Dakota Mortenson broke up last year. Speaking of it, Paul said in her Instagram stories at that time:

“That’s grief, let it through so it can pass and you can heal. The more you resist the pain coming through, the longer the suffering, learned this the hard way.”

While Taylor Frankie Paul and ex Dakota Mortenson are back in the headlines after the charges against Dakota were dropped, the issue stems from 2023 when Paul reportedly threw metal chairs at her ex, Dakota, in front of their child.

Last month, the video started circulating that was taken at that time. This also led to the cancellation of The Bachelorette.

Speaking of it, Dakota told People:

“As anyone who has seen the video will understand, this is a deeply upsetting situation. I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny. I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same.”

After looking into the case, the Draper City Police Department revealed that the claims of domestic assault have been made from both sides, adding that the officers already talked to them in late February this year.

Soon after, the West Jordan Police Department shared another update, sharing that they are also handling another separate domestic violence case involving the influencer and her ex. According to the police department, it was filed by Dakota Mortensen, who also asked for a protective order against his ex, Taylor Frankie Paul.

Earlier this month, Taylor Frankie Paul also filed a protective order request, claiming that Dakota has:

“Pattern of abusive conduct and coercive control.”

The charges filed by Dakota were reviewed, but the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office decided not to move forward with them due to a lack of evidence and their being very old.

As per the recent reports, the charges against Dakota Mortensen surrounding the domestic violence claim have also been dropped. The statement from the Salt Lake County District Attorney read:

“The Draper City Prosecutor reviewed the DA’s findings and, upon further review of the Draper Police case, has declined to file any charges against Taylor Frankie Paul or Dakota Mortensen related to an investigation of domestic assault claims.”

According to a source statement to NBC, Dakota Mortensen is also reported to be removed from Vanderpump Villa’s new season.
