What did Courtney Stodden say? Dr. Drew’s wife addresses allegations against husband

Susan Pinsky, the wife of Dr. Drew Pinsky, has found herself at the center of controversy after responding to a social media comment defending Courtney Stodden. The model has accused the television personality of exploiting her at sixteen, when he conducted an on-air breast exam during an appearance on his show.

As per a screenshot shared by Courtney Stodden via Instagram on June 28, Susan Pinsky replied to a comment on her husband’s page that read,

“Justice for @courtneystodden.”

Susan Pinsky, who is now sixty-six years old, responded with,

“I would love to talk to her on Ask Drew. If @courtneystodden wants to duke it out with Dr. Drew.”

As per a report shared by Us Weekly, Dr. Drew allegedly liked his wife’s comment. The remark was reportedly made on his sponsored post from June 27, which has since had its comments disabled.

Courtney Stodden, who is now thirty-one years old, didn’t hold back after seeing Susan’s reply. Stodden reshared the comment on Instagram, along with a statement of her own.

“Under a comment that simply said ‘Justice for Courtney’, Dr. Drew’s wife @firstladyoflove suggested I come on his show to ‘duke it out’ with him, and @drdrewpinsky liked the comment. To me, that misses the point entirely,” Stodden wrote.

“This isn’t entertainment. It isn’t a debate. It isn’t a ratings opportunity,” she added.

Courtney Stodden wasn’t done after firing back at Susan Pinsky. The same post that called out Dr. Drew’s wife also circled back to the moment everyone was reacting to in the first place.

“I was a teenager when I appeared on his show. I was a minor in a situation I couldn’t legally leave, and the money from that appearance went straight to my abuser. What I’m seeing in these comments gives me hope because people understand that this isn’t about rehashing trauma for content. It’s about accountability, and it’s about protecting children from exploitation,” Stodden wrote.

Stodden had first leveled the allegation over the weekend, telling followers exactly what happened on Dr. Drew’s show years earlier.

“Dr. Drew had me on his show when I was 16 and had me undergo an ultrasound to see if my breasts were real or if I was lying about my breasts,” she alleged in a post shared via Instagram.

“I wasn’t an underage girl. I was a minor trapped in a situation that I wasn’t able to get out of legally. I had no rights at the time. The money he paid me to be on the show went straight to my abuser,” she added.

In her recent reply to Susan Pinsky, Courtney Stodden made sure to acknowledge the people who’d had her back through all of it.

“Thank you to everyone speaking up for me, supporting me, and recognizing how wrong this is. I see you, and l appreciate you more than you know,” she concluded.

As per the report shared by Us Weekly, Courtney Stodden was sixteen when she married actor Doug Hutchison, who was fifty-one at the time. Stodden later filed for divorce in 2018, with the pair finalizing their split in 2020.

It was during that marriage that Stodden appeared on a 2011 episode of Dr. Drew’s talk show. The TV personality instructed her to lie on stage in front of a live studio audience as he performed a breast ultrasound to check for implants.

Dr. Waqqas Jalil, a board-trained plastic surgeon and founder of Aspect Plastic Surgery, addressed the exam in comments to Us Weekly.

“A breast examination or imagining on a minor, particularly in a public, televised setting, raises serious ethical red flags,” Dr. Jalil said.

He continued, pointing to what a legitimate medical procedure requires.

“In a legitimate medical context, procedures like ultrasound require informed consent, privacy and a clear clinical justification,” Dr. Jalil explained.

“Using a medical tool on a young person in front of cameras, without those protections in place, isn’t medicine, it’s spectacle. Patients of any age deserve to have their bodily autonomy treated as non-negotiable,” he added.
