WETHERSPOONS is kicking off the new year with a major January sale, offering pints of beer for just 99p in more than 600 of its pubs nationwide.
The budget pub chain is selling pints of Worthington’s for under £1 as part of the promotion, alongside a range of other discounted drinks.
Customers can also pick up 250ml glasses of Coldwater Creek wine (available in chardonnay, pinot grigio, rosé and merlot) for £2.99.
Selected spirits including Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky and Tanqueray gin are priced at £1.99.
The deals are available in over 600 Wetherspoon venues, though prices in around 200 other locations may differ slightly.
Dry January is a popular annual challenge where Brits and people across the world give up drinking for the month of January to recover from drinking excessively over the holidays or to prioritise their health.

For customers participating in Dry January or preferring non-alcoholic options, the sale includes a variety of alcohol-free choices such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Stella Artois Gluten Free, Thatchers Zero and Kopparberg Alcohol Free, all priced at £1.69.
Food offers are also part of the promotion, with an 11-inch pizza or a chicken burger (served with chips or a side salad) available for £4.99 when purchased with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink.
The sale runs until January 15.
Speaking about the promotion, Wetherspoon’s founder and chairman, Tim Martin, said: “Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to also have a sale in the pubs.
“The range of food and drinks on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes.
“We have included a large selection of low-alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks.
“I believe that the January sale will prove popular with customers.
“As always, staff at the pub will serve customers responsibly.”
