Warped US pair ‘plotted to invade remote island with homeless mercenaries, kill its men & sexually enslave women & kids’

A SICK duo have been accused of plotting to stage a murderous coup on an island – killing its men and turning women and children into sex slaves.

Gavin Rivers Weisenburg, 21, and Tanner Christopher Thomas, 20, allegedly planned to invade the island with the help of homeless people they recruited in the country’s capital, Washington DC.

The two young men from Texas allegedly devised the plan to act out their violent sexual fantasies, according to an announcement by the US attorney’s office of the eastern district of Texas on Thursday.

The pair have been charged with conspiracy to murder, maim, or kidnap in a foreign country.

They have also been charged with producing child pornography, which could land them between 15 and 30 years behind bars if convicted.

It remains unclear why the men pinpointed the island, which is located off Haiti and houses up to 100,000 inhabitants.

The duo also allegedly studied Haitian Creole, attempted to gather recruits, and pursued military-style training as part of the plot.

Meanwhile, Weisenburg allegedly joined the North Texas Fire Academy in August 2024 to learn command and control protocols – communication methods cybercriminals use to remotely control victims’ computers.

He failed the program and was let go in February of this year.

Thomas also allegedly joined the U.S. Air Force to acquire skills he believed would aid the operation.

Weisenburg, meanwhile, is understood to have traveled to Thailand for sailing lessons needed for the planned invasion.

Thomas later transferred to an Air Force station in Maryland to be closer to the D.C. area, where the men allegedly intended to recruit participants.

The defendants also researched weapons, ammunition, and maritime equipment and discussed the purchase of a boat.

According to the indictment, the men began hatching their coup in August 2024 and schemed right up until July this year when Weisenburg was reportedly arrested.

The FBI, the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations and local cops are working together to investigate the case.

The two-count indictment was returned by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Texas.

It comes as a deranged couple allegedly raped a six-year-old girl and held her prisoner beside her sister’s corpse after brutally murdering her mother.

Callihan stabbed Brunett more than 50 times, before kidnapping her eldest daughter alongside four-year-old Erin, court documents said.

Brunett’s elder daughter has not been named for legal reasons.

He then drove the sisters more than 130 miles to Mississippi to his partner Victoria Cox, 34.

The sick pair kept the six-year-old girl as a “sex-slave”, according to a summary of facts signed by Callihan.

The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to federal charges in August.

He confessed to suffocating Erin to death, by “holding [her] closely against his chest”, after he and Cox sexually assaulted the child, court documents said.
