
WAITROSE has issued an urgent recall of a festive water bottle due to a choking hazard.
Shoppers who bought The Tinc Festive Santa Bottle need to stop using it immediately because the straw can disintegrate, meaning there is a serious risk of choking.

These small parts pose a choking risk to young children, particularly those under 36 months of age, the Office for Product Safety and Standards reports.
Priced at just £1 the product was given to thousands of children as a stocking filler on Christmas day.
People who purchased the item for their tots have been told by Waitrose to stop using it, package the item up and return the product to their local Waitrose & Partners branch for a refund.
The supermarket giant also recommended keeping the product out of reach of children to prevent harm.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
A statement from the Office for Product Safety and Standards said: “The product presents a serious risk of choking as the straw can disintegrate, creating small parts.
“These small parts pose a choking risk to young children, particularly those under 36 months of age who have a natural tendency to explore objects by placing them in their mouths.”
This comes just days after food and beverage giant, Nestle, issued an urgent global recall of baby formula products as they’re not safe for consumption.
The company announced that a batches of its SMA infant and follow-on formula may contain a toxin which can cause food poisoning.
The batches, which Nestle has said are not safe for baby consumption, have been sold across the world.
The products may contain cereulide, a substance which can cause symptoms similar to food poisoning – nausea and vomiting when consumed.
According to the company there have not yet been any reports of illness associated with the products, it clarified it was recalling them “out of an abundance of caution”.
“The safety and wellbeing of babies is our absolute priority,” the firm said in a statement.
“We sincerely apologise for any concern or inconvenience caused to parents, caregivers, and customers.”
