Through the Eyes of Love
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and his estranged wife, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), might not have to wait till the holidays to reconcile (that’s pretty much the last time they got close with one another).
On Friday’s episode, watch for the mustached mogul to question his wife about her health issues. We’ve seen the toll that the whole Matt Clark ordeal has taken on Nikki. There’s also the matter of Victor’s ongoing war with Nikki’s former husband and lifelong friend, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Will Nikki open up about her health issues to Victor? Or will pride or a lack of trust prompt her to remain quiet?

A Summer wind
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) didn’t have much luck reconnecting with Daniel (Michael Graziadei), her son, even after she gave Newman Enterprises back to Victor. Daniel wasn’t impressed by his mother’s gesture as he pointed out that she’d been backed into a corner and had no other choice.
Despite this, Phyllis was devastated that Daniel rejected her. She felt she’d done the right thing only to get nothing out of it. On Friday’s show, watch for Phyllis to reach out to Summer (Allison Lanier), who, last we heard, was still living abroad, following her relationship with Kyle (Michael Mealor) coming to an end.
Is Phyllis hoping that Summer will respond differently? She’s slowly starting to rebuild her business life. Now, she needs to get her children to respond to her positively.
The unwelcome Matt
Victor is allowing Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) to remain on his property so that he can keep an eye on him and to see if he can be an ally against Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
The rest of the family may not like that Matt is sticking around, however. On Friday’s show, watch for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to keep tabs on Matt Clark. If anyone knows about getting a second chance, however, it’s Adam Newman!
The man has committed and been accused of committing all kinds of atrocities. Through the love of a good woman, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), Adam has reformed, mostly. (He’ll likely never lose his complete edge.)
Matt has remembered many of the horrible things he’s done, and he claims to have reformed, but has he? His memories have returned, but what if his incessant desire to destroy the Newmans comes back? The family could be a sitting duck now that Matt is living on the Newman grounds!
