Valentin refused to leave…and ‘Caradine’ was born

Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on General Hospital

When Valentin first arrived at Carly’s house and moved in, he announced he’d be staying until Anna returned from wherever she was. That was more than three months ago. We weren’t sure how that was going to go, but we still wanted him to finally find Anna at Wyndemere when he made it there for an entire episode. And now? Well, we are not quite saying “Anna who?”, but Valentin and Carly became the most unexpected surprise. Valentin not taking off and running the second he had the chance after Josslyn zip-tied him was another shock. He was all ready to do it, but then he stopped. We still weren’t sure what actually happened until he put his hand on Carly’s shoulder a half hour later. We had to wait an entire day for Valentin to put more than just a hand on Carly’s shoulder and boy was THAT ever a surprise. General Hospital saved it for the last 30 seconds, but sometimes good things come to those who wait. Carly and Valentin are now the couple to watch. A year ago, Valentin nearly killed Carly with polonium and this year…well, we’re sure he has some regrets about that one. We are also sure that he is glad it didn’t work (he meant to kill Jack anyway) or he wouldn’t have had her hospitality for the last three months — in more ways than one.
