A MAN has been arrested after several women were attacked with a knife in Paris.
Three women sustained stab wounds following the incident below ground on the French capital’s Metro on Friday.


According to several police sources, a man pulled out a knife and stabbed three women at different stations on line three, which runs between Bagnolet (Seine-Saint-Denis) and Levallois-Perret (Hauts-de-Seine).
He started his attack at République station, beefore continuing his rampage to Arts et Métiers and then Opéra stations.
He then fled via a different metro line before he was arrested at his home in Sarcelles (Val-d’Oise), reports say.
It’s understood the attack happened between 4.15pm and 4.45pm.

Officers used surveillance-camera footage and tracked his mobile phone to locate him, said prosecutors.
Fortunately, the three women sustained only minor injuries, two of them to their backs and thighs, according to a police source.
A witness told local media: “There was quite a lot of blood; it was a pretty deep cut”.
Reports described the perpetrator as thin, of African descent and wearing a khaki coat.
The Paris prosecutor’s office told Le Figaro the man was born in 2000 and was already known to the police for various offenses, including property damage.
