On the Tuesday, April 21, 2026, episode of Days of our Lives, Leo and Gwen drank together like old times, Gabi proposed an offer to Philip, Chad asked EJ if Abigail had been in the pod, and Lexie moved her hand.
What happened on Days of our Lives
Outside the Brady Pub, Gabi gave Theo his journal. Gabi lied and said she had not read it. Philip interrupted, so Theo hurriedly left. Gabi explained she had been checking on Leo after his trivia night meltdown. Gabi changed the subject to a work proposition. When Philip noted that Titan was not in a position to make a lucrative deal with Gabi Chic, Gabi noted that she was more interested in a partnership with someone she trusted. Philip joked that Gabi was the only person that saw him as trustworthy. She said she felt the same way about him. Philip told Gabi that he trusted her more than anyone in his life.
Philip encouraged Gabi to field other offers for her company rather than lock into something with Titan because she was involved with him. Gabi admitted she had already looked at other offers, including one from Theo. Philip asked Gabi if she knew why Theo had changed his mind about running DiMera. Gabi said Theo had not talked to her about why. Philip told Gabi that on trivia night, he had made Theo an offer to join Titan, but Theo had been noncommittal. Gabi advised Philip against it.
In the square, Cat ran into Chad and the kids. Thomas snapped at Cat, and Chad told Thomas to apologize. After Chad hustled the kids off, Cat ran into Theo. Cat asked Theo for help in contacting Abe about attending the reading of Stefano’s will. Theo walked away when Cat told Theo she was sorry for the loss of his mother.
Seems Like Old Times
At the DiMera mansion, EJ left Gwen’s packed bags in the foyer and he told her to get out to make room for Kristen. Gwen argued that EJ resented Xander. EJ noted that he did not want the competition snooping around the house when he already had Kristen to deal with.
At the Salem Inn, Leo drank wine and procrastinated on a story in favor of cyber stalking Javi’s new boyfriend. Gwen checked into the room across the hall, and a tipsy Leo traded barbs with her. When Leo congratulated Gwen on getting everything she had wanted, Gwen thanked Leo for having convinced Dimitri to sign the divorce papers. Gwen condescendingly told Leo she was sorry things with Dimitri had ended. Leo told Gwen that he had “dodged a bullet” when he had broken things off with Dimitri. Leo invited Gwen to share a drink with him in the square.
At the cafe, Cat said she was pleased that Gwen and Leo had made up. Gwen insisted that she still hated Leo. Cat joined the catty twosome, and asked Gwen how she was doing. Gwen noted that she was freshly divorced, rich again, and free of the DiMera mansion. “Life is good,” Gwen said. Talk turned to Chad’s return to town.
When Leo noted that he should resume investigating the pod story for the paper, Gwen narrowed her eyes. Leo asked Cat for the inside scoop, but she declined to answer. Gwen pleaded ignorance, and she changed the subject to Javi. Leo admitted that Javi had moved on with another firefighter. Gwen started to gloat, then she admitted that it did not feel good to mock Leo at his low point. Gwen and Leo made a toast, “To life being empty without having a true love.”
Brother, can you spare an answer about my wife?
After Chad dropped the kids off at Julie’s house, he visited EJ at the DiMera mansion. EJ told Chad that Kristen was moving in. Chad told EJ about his run-in with Cat in the square. Chad noted that things would get easier once Cat moved on. EJ thought about when Cat had kissed him and told Chad he would move on too.
EJ informed Chad that Cat would be helping with Stefano’s will reading. When Chad asked about Megan, EJ noted that he had told Dimitri to keep Megan away before Dimitri had left Salem. Chad was surprised that Dimitri had left town. EJ explained that Leo had dumped Dimitri. With a grin, Chad said he was proud of Leo for having stood up for himself.
Chad asked about the pod that the police had found when they recovered Stephanie from EJ’s lab. EJ insisted that he had not been involved with Stephanie’s kidnapping. Chad growled a warning at EJ that he better not have been involved. EJ complained that he was tired of everyone thinking the worst of him.
Chad asked if Abigail had been in the pod. EJ acted offended and argued that he would not have hidden Abigail from Chad if she were still alive. Chad countered that Abigail’s body was still missing and that EJ had been involved with the mysterious resurrection of someone. EJ stressed that his only concern was for Chad and his kids. Chad asked again about the pod, but EJ stressed that no one had been in the pod. Chad told EJ he was more like Stefano every day. EJ countered that Chad had always been the best of the DiMera children.
Not-so idle hands
Theo went to visit Lexie in the tunnels and talked to her in an effort to get her to wake up. Theo talked about his journal, and how he had confessed his feelings for Gabi in it. Theo told Lexie about Lani and Eli. Theo then talked about his concern about whether Lexie would be the same person if she woke up. Emotional, Theo reached for Lexie’s hand, and it moved. Theo rushed upstairs and told EJ that Lexie had intentionally moved her hand for him.
Coming up on DAYS
Johnny takes charge of Chanel’s health, while Marlena presses Xander and Kate is forced to lie to Roman. Kristen and Lani also reunite, so at least Kristen will have someone same to hopefully keep her in check.
