Ironically, while Sally is expecting a baby with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) right now, Hope took to her Instagram Stories to open up about her own reproductive health.

“Endometriosis, excision surgery, endometriosis, adenomyosis, and PMOS are NO JOKE,” Hope stated. “It took me 34 years and multiple gynos [gynocologists] to finally get diagnosed with all three by the best doctor. @drthaisaliabadi.

“Now, two years later, I am recovering after my surgery to remove it all,” she continued, “finding lesions all over my left ovary (with an endometrioma inside), my fallopian tube, the entire backside of my uterus, and my colon. Plus, my left ovary was completely attached, stuck to my intestines….Decades of pain and symptoms explained.”

Now, Hope is filled with gratitude to have so many questions resolved. “I’m so grateful to have answers and to be on the road to recovery and proper treatment,” she continues.

The actress is sharing her personal story along with a message for individuals to take charge of their own path. “Advocate for yourself if you believe you may have endo, adeno, or PMOS!” she says. “Intense pain, exhaustion, inflammation, cysts, and bleeding aren’t normal!”

Hope shares that she is not normally this open about her personal life; however, “if I had known sooner what to look for, I could have potentially saved myself years of suffering.:

After sharing her personal story on Instagram Stories, Hope took to the platform again to express her gratitude. “Thank you to everyone who has reached out,” she said. “I really appreciate the love and support more than you know, and to ALL the women who have shared your intimate story, and to the men who have shared their loved ones’ stories.

“Thank you for being open about my, your journey,” Hope concluded. “My heart is with you all. I’m mind blown at the amount of women suffering and an active recovery from endo, adeno, and PMOS. I am thankful for the growing research and advocacy to help those living with pain, confusion, and uncertainty for far too long. Love you, all.”
