‘The Upshaws’ approach final season on Netflix

Netflix’s hit sitcom THE UPSHAWS is gearing up for one last laugh-filled ride! The beloved family comedy returns for its seventh and final installment on Thursday, January 15, 2026, dropping 12 brand-new episodes that lead straight into an emotional, unforgettable series finale.

It’s officially farewell season for Indianapolis’ most chaotic, lovable family and creators/executive producers Regina Hicks and Wanda Sykes promise fans a send-off worthy of the Upshaw name.

“We’re truly grateful to Netflix for giving us the space to deliver one more season of the warmth and hilarious messiness people love and the closure our Upshaw family deserves,” Hicks shared with Tudum.

Sykes, who also stars as the quick-witted Lucretia, added, “Huge thanks to Netflix for letting us wrap this journey properly. We’re excited to give the show and the fans a heartfelt goodbye.”

“The Upshaws” follows Bennie Upshaw (Mike Epps) a well-meaning, forever-in-over-his-head mechanic and head of an Indianapolis working-class Black family as he tries to raise his crew with love, hustle, and minimal chaos… OK, maybe some chaos. Alongside his patient wife Regina (Kim Fields), their kids, his son from a previous relationship, and Lucretia’s signature shade, the Upshaws prove that even without a perfect blueprint, family is worth the ride.

But fans of Mike Epps won’t have to miss him for long! The comedy icon is returning to Netflix once again with his fifth stand-up special, “Delusional.” Expect his signature charm and razor-sharp humor as he dishes out hysterical stories about how a little delusion and a whole lot of hustle helped turn him into the star he is today.
