Hosted by the City of San Ramon, the event will take place July 4 at Central Park and will feature a full day of activities, beginning with a series of races in the morning and ending with a patriotic concert celebration in the evening.
The event is expected to draw runners, families and local residents looking for a fun and active way to mark both Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary year.
A 40 year Independence Day tradition
Run San Ramon has become a staple of the city’s Fourth of July festivities over the past four decades.
Participants can choose from several race options designed to accommodate a wide range of ages and fitness levels.
A 5K race through San Ramon.
A 10K race along the city’s paved course.
The Fastest Mile event featuring an out-and-back route.
The courses are designed as paved loops that guide runners through the community while offering a festive atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
All registered runners will receive a commemorative short sleeve event shirt, a race bib and a participation medal. The races will also be professionally chip timed, allowing competitors to track their official results.

Evening festivities honor America’s 250th anniversary
After the morning races conclude, attention will shift to the evening entertainment lineup.
The city is commemorating America’s 250th anniversary with a concert event that blends patriotic traditions with contemporary music.
The evening begins with a performance from Olympia Fields Brass, whose patriotic selections are expected to set the tone for the holiday gathering.
Following the opening performance, attendees will be treated to a concert by The Cheeseballs, a band known for energetic performances that combine funk, soul and popular hits spanning multiple decades.
