Marshals Episode 7 recap: Things get awkward between Dolly and Kayce at the dinner

In the previous episodes, Kayce told Dolly that he would show her around, and it looks like he kept his word. In Marshals episode 7, Kayce spends the day with Dolly in Montana, talking about their past and enjoying the horse rides.

Later, he gets invited by Tom Weaver, Dolly’s father, for dinner. While it was supposed to be just a dinner, it soon became complicated after Tom asked Kayce if he could buy his ranch. This clearly leaves Kayce awkward.

While Dolly apologizes to him for her father’s behavior, it doesn’t make things better between them. In the last episode, after finding and saving the girls, Kayce decided to let go of Monica’s memories and move ahead in his life.

However, he is not able to deal with his grief. In episode 7, he talks to Andrea about the same and how he feels guilty about getting to know Dolly, and it feels like cheating to him since his heart still belongs to Monica. Andrea asks him to look forward to the future and not hold himself in the past.

On the other hand, Kayce and Andrea look out for the suspect and the reasons why they targeted the family. During the investigation, they come to know about the fake passports hidden in the house. They also learn about the illegal weapon smuggling linked to Blake’s charity, who is the judge’s husband.

After Blake gets kidnapped while running away, Kayce tracks him down and brings him back to the family, solving the case. Kayce tells the judge’s daughter Fallon:

“No father is perfect. Once you realize he was just trying to protect you in his own messed up way, your anger will fade. I just hope that if you ever do decide to forgive him, he’s still around to hear it.”
