What happened in Dating Alys Perez episode 2: A quick recap
Episode 2 of Dating Alys Perez is titled “Unexpected Reunion” as it begins with Alys and Drake seeing each other after four years of their breakup. Alys is back in the Philippines and has opened Cupcakes by Alys as she always loved making cakes.
She welcomes a client who’s about to get married and when she sees the groom, he turns out to be Drake. Alys feels awkward from inside but makes sure she doesn’t look affected. The two even shake hands, while Drake’s fiancee has no idea who Alys is to Drake.
The episode then goes back to the past when Alys and Tripp attended NYCU. Alys lived with Kei, while Tripp shared his flat with Tofer, another Palma in the family. The story moves forward and we see that Alys formed a bond with Kei and was in a stable relationship with Drake.
When Drake learned that Tripp is also in NYC, he took a flight and reunited with Alys. Later, Tripp accuses Drake of Alys’ suffering. He says that she’s unable to focus on anything because of him and that Drake must do something that would force Alys to focus on her life and career.
Episode 2 also showed how Alys and Tripp reunited in college and ended up in the same specialization. Just like before, Tripp made sure that he was there whenever Alys wanted help, which only strengthened their bond.
By the end of episode 2 of Dating Alys Perez, the focus shifts in the present time, and Drake tells Alys that she has changed. He even asks if she’s dating his cousin, Tripp and the chapter ends without revealing how Alys responded.

Episode 3 of Dating Alys Perez will continue to focus on how things were between Drake and Alys and how they eventually broke up. The preview reveals the moment when Alys was left miserable by Drake and it was Tripp who comforted her and helped her move on.
Fans will also get to see what’s happening in the present between Drake and Alys. Despite knowing that Alys is with Tripp now, Drake will forcibly kiss her and later mention that he should take her back.
