Though the Heavens Fall, the sixth episode of The Boys Season 5, dropped this week. This episode culminates in a shocking climax, as the final season approaches its finish line in two weeks. The central focus of the episode is on the two sides’ hunt for V1. Moreover, just like the fourth episode, “King of Hell”, this episode also subtly sets up Vought Rising.
For the uninitiated, the previous episode clearly drew the lines and factions between the two groups. Homelander is still on the hunt for the V1, as the good guys approach an old figure from Vought’s past in this episode of The Boys Season 5.

The Legend was introduced in the third season as a Stan Lee figure of The Boys Universe. After sitting out the events of the fourth season, The Legend returns in The Boys Season 5. However, this time, it seems that his life has taken a drastic turn as he works in a VMC (a parady of the AMC chain of theaters) theater. He tells MM that he survived the events of the purge inside Vought, which took place in the season 4 finale.
The Boys have approached him to help in locating Bombsight before Soldier Boy and Homelander find the supe. He suggests reaching out to Golden Geisha, a supe who can create force fields around her and her targets.
The Legend suggests to The Boys that they visit an old age home in which Golden Geisha is residing. Meanwhile Sister Sage convinces Back Ashley to read Soldier Boy’s mind, through which she learns that he intends to help Homelander. Which is why Sister Sage misdirects the father and son duo to a house that has a laptop. The screen is playing an intimate moment between Homelander and Stormfront.
This footage drives a wedge between the father and son, and Soldier Boy leaves Homelander. Homelander realizing Sage’s deception tries to convince his father that Sister Sage decieved them, but Soldier Boy isn’t interested. Meanwhile, The Boys visit the old age home and try to get some information about Bombsight from Golden Geisha.
But Golden Geisha doesn’t divulge information, prompting The Boys to abduct her. As The Boys debate about how to get information out of her, Sister Sage offers her help. She convinces them to send a photo of Golden Geisha as a hostage to Bombsight to get him out of hiding. Meanwhile, Homelander learns about her and Bombisight’s relationship from The Legend, and also learns that she sells VoughtAlert necklace, which can be tracked.
Bombsight arrive at the location of The Boys and the latter try convincing the former to give up V1. Bombsight wants to give Golden Geisha the V1, but she doesn’t want it. A fight between Bombsight and The Boys begins in which he overpowers them.
- The Deep vs Black Noir II
Black Noir II gets back at The Deep for killing Bourke in the previous The Boys Season 5 episode by destroying an oil pipeline killing a lot of fish. In response, The Deep kills Black Noir II on the set of their podcast.
Butcher tasks Hughie and Annie with the job of planting a device that would disperse the supe-killing virus in the sage where Homelander is giving a sermon. They manage to get to the stage and plant the device but soon are discovered by Oh Father. It seems he and Annie know eachother and they fight, but Hughie threatens to expose Oh Father with the supe-killing virus, and he relents.
As Bombsight overpowers The Boys, Soldier Boy interrupts them. As that happens, the two fight each other. Bombsight flies out and Solder Boy holds on to him. They crash in the woods and pause the fight. It seems that they both had feelings for Stormfront. After that, Soldier Boy offers Bomsight to take away his powers in exchange for V1.
Bombsight accepts, and Soldier Boy depowers him. Bomsight hands over the V1 to Soldier Boy, and at that moment, Homelander flies in. Soldier Boy hands over the V1 to Homelander, and the latter injects it into his veins. As soon as the V1 enter his viens, Homelander shoots a laser from his eyes into the sky, ending this The Boys Season 5 episode.
