The Bold and the Beautiful star Ashley Jones, who recurs as Bridget, will be making some appearances on B&B’s sister soap, Beyond the Gates. But who will she be playing?
The Bold and the Beautiful Ashley Jones comes to Fairmont Crest
A spokesperson for BTG shares with Soap Central the following: “We can confirm Ashley Jones will be appearing on Beyond the Gates.”
No further details about Jones’ role are available at press time. Word leaked out that Jones might be going to BTG when she appeared on a social media post, which can be seen above, in which the cast was celebrating the show’s renewal for Seasons 3 and 4.
Jones has been a part of the CBS soap scene for nearly 30 years. While still attending Pepperdine University, Jones was cast on The Young and the Restless as ingenue Megan Dennison.
Megan shared a romance with Tony Viscardi (Nick Scott; Jay Bonatitbusd) and was on the show from 1997 to 2000, appearing on the show briefly in 2001.
Jones screentested for the role of Billie Reed on Days of our Lives when the show was recasting the role made famous by Lisa Rinna. Julie Pinson (ex-Eve, Port Charles) got the part. DAYS’ loss was B&B’s gain as Jones soon joined the half-hour soap as Bridget.
Jones’s Bridget had plenty of front-burner storyline as the character danced around a romance with her non-biological uncle Ridge (then, Ronn Moss). Bridget was paired romantically with both Nick (Jack Wagner) and Owen (Brandon Beemer); Bridget and Owen are parents to a boy who may have the coolest name in soap opera history — Logan Knight!

Is Jones bringing Bridget to Fairmont Crest? Her doctor character would fit in nicely at Garland Memorial. We do know that the worlds of B&B and Y&R exist in the same universe as BTG, as both Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Devon (Bryton Jones) have appeared on BTG.
However, we’ve also seen actors from the worlds of B&B and Y&R appear on BTG, playing totally different characters. Ridge’s interactions with Dani (Karla Mosley) proved that Maya Avanta Forrester (Mosley’s B&B role) has a double out there! Ditto, Grayson Perez, played by Jordi Vilasuso, looks amazingly like Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) late husband, Rey Rosales!
So Jones could either be a new character or Bridget. There is a crossover coming up on BTG in June when six actors from Y&R visit Fairmont Crest. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Devon Winters (Bryton James), and Melissa Ordway (Abby Winters) are set to attend a gala that will reveal that folks from Genoa City are acquainted with members of the Dupree family, the first family of Fairmont Crest!
