She wants to explore Benson and Stabler’s relationship further, noting that it “would be great”.
However, the busy schedule of Christopher Meloni, who brings life to Stabler’s relationship in the series, has become a factor preventing his addition to the series. Fazekas does not want to “drop” Stabler “in an unimportant scene” and wants to “use him” and “bring him in with purpose”. Hence, it is crucial to make sure that the storyline in which Stabler arrives has a distinct depth.
