Mayor Paulina (Jackee Harry) can’t believe her own eyes when EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) opens this body-size pod in his secret lab and reveals a breathing Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford). Somehow, her husband’s dead wife just looks like she is peacefully sleeping, rather than as the decomposed corpse she should be after breathing her last breath nearly 15 years ago.
Paulina had heard that Rolf (Richard Wharton) is an expert in raising the dead, but this is beyond anything she ever could have imagined. Paulina demands that EJ tell her exactly what is going on and wonders how he could play God like this.
This revelation and resurrection can change everything, especially the course of her family members’ lives. While Paulina may fear she could lose her husband to his not-so-dead wife, she knows she can’t keep something this big a secret, but is EJ ready to reveal to all yet?
After all, Lexie is not awake just yet, despite there finally being brain activity. They must be sure she can remain conscious before telling Salem and the world about their miracle.
Theo’s crush
Meanwhile, Lexie’s son has no idea how much his life is about to change, so Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) continues to fantasize about Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) while also dating Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu). He knows she is with Philip, but he also knows that Gabi is keeping a major secret from Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier). No secrets stay hidden forever, so is Theo just biding his time?
As Theo and Gabi spend time together on Monday and grow closer, will he consider taking matters into his own hands and telling Philip that Gabi was the DiMera spy on the inside? That could certainly change the trajectory of Gabi’s romance and put a damper on things. However, it could backfire on Theo if Gabi learned he was the big mouth who blew her secret sky high.
