What to expect on Days of our Lives
There are few soap heroines as strong, kind, and emotionally brave as Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). It doesn’t matter that she has been possessed by the devil a time or two. When she is herself, she is everyone’s rock, but there comes a time when everyone has to break down, and that time has come for Marlena.
When she spends some time with Roman (Josh Taylor) at The Brady Pub, Marlena can feel the weight of the past year upon her. She lost the love of her life and her partner for decades. It’s the greatest loss she has ever felt, aside from her son DJ all those years ago.
Roman is there to offer Marlena comfort through all of this. As her husband before she met John (the late Drake Hogestyn), and the father of her two children, Roman might be the ideal person to help Marlena through this. It’s also about time she broke down, as everyone has to lose their armor at some point, even Marlena.
Roman brings Marlena some cheer as she sits for a meal with Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Lucas (Bryan R. Dattilo).
More Christmas cheer
The Johnsons get together for a post-Christmas celebration with family, as Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) makes her way to Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie’s (Abigail Klein) to see her husband. Steve (Stephen Nichols) has moved on into their place to protect Stephanie from her creepy and crazed fan. So far, there have been no incidents, but that doesn’t mean one is not coming.
Through it all, Alex and Stephanie have not had any alone time whatsoever. It seems that Kayla is more keenly aware of this than Steve, so she insists he leave the apartment for a bit to take a walk through Horton Town Square. That’s where they take advantage of some mistletoe for a little romance.
Back at the apartment, Alex and Stephanie revel in their alone time. They know it won’t last forever because her parents will be back soon, but they take advantage of things while they can. What Stephanie doesn’t know is that Alex is planning one more big surprise.
