Days of our Lives‘ Sophia may — or may not — have gone to that great soap in the sky, but her presumed death is bringing her father, Jason Choi, to the screen. Actor Stephen Oyoung has been cast in the role, and he’ll make his debut on Thursday, May 14.

Oyoung is making his DAYS debut as Jason, later this week. His arrival is likely connected to his daughter Sophia’s (Rachel Boyd) disappearance.
Sophia’s mother, Amy (Shi Ne Nielson), blames people in Salem for her daughter’s death, unaware that Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) is behind it all. Will Jason join forces with Amy and seek revenge, or will he suggest she gather more facts so she can make informed accusations?
Oyoung is making his daytime debut on DAYS, but the actor is one of Hollywood’s busiest performers. The performer played the part of Pills in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
Before becoming an actor, Oyoung worked as a fight coordinator and stunt performer on the big screen. His resume includes the films Sicario, Olympus Has Fallen, and Twisters.
Oyoung worked with actors Keanu Reeves (47 Ronin), Denzel Washington (The Equalizer), and Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), helping the trio get in shape for physically demanding screen roles.
His acting credits include the TV shows Insecure, NCIS, CSI: Las Vegas, Jupiter’s Legacy, and For All Mankind. The actor is known in the video game world for his role as a Jedi Master in Star Wars: The Old Republic. He played Martin Li (AKA Mister Negative) in the video games Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. Earlier this year, Oyoung played the role of Greg in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
