Soulja Boy’s legal troubles grow as two paternity cases emerge

Soulja Boy is facing mounting legal and personal drama on two fronts as paternity disputes with two different women play out in court and on social media. The situations, while separate, paint a picture of a rapper who has been unwilling to engage with either case through proper legal channels and whose behavior has drawn sharp criticism from both accusers and the public.

The email that shocked the internet

Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Soulja Boy allegedly sent a profanity-laced email to the legal team representing Jackilyn Martinez, who filed a paternity lawsuit against him in October 2025 seeking custody of their 3-year-old son, KeAndre Way. According to the documents, Martinez’s attorney reached out after a phone call between her and Soulja Boy, suggesting that both parties appeared interested in resolving the matter quietly and efficiently, and asking the rapper to have his own attorney follow up.

The response allegedly sent by Soulja Boy was anything but cooperative. He reportedly told the attorney to stop contacting him, used profane and derogatory language directed at the lawyer, and flatly stated he had no intention of settling or engaging in any litigation. He has not filed a formal legal response to the case.

In her lawsuit, Martinez stated that she has been providing the majority of financial support for their son and that Soulja Boy sends money only when she pushes him to do so. She also said she had attempted to serve him with legal papers at one of his concerts without success, and described his behavior as increasingly volatile and obstructive to moving the case forward. She has said she is open to Soulja Boy receiving visitation rights while seeking legal and physical custody.

A second accuser goes public on TikTok

Separately, a woman named Lindsay Reid has accused Soulja Boy of being the father of her child and claims he has provided neither financial nor emotional support since she informed him of her pregnancy. Reid took her grievances to TikTok, where she alleged that in addition to ignoring his responsibilities, Soulja Boy threatened to release explicit content of her online and pressured her to unblock him on social media.

Soulja Boy denied paternity in this case, producing legal documents he claimed showed the child support matter had already been closed. He also announced plans to pursue legal action against Reid and media outlets that covered her allegations, citing defamation. In a video response, he expressed frustration at being pulled into a public controversy and made clear he intends to fight back legally.

Two cases, one pattern

The two situations share a common thread. In both cases, women have described Soulja Boy as difficult to reach, unwilling to engage through appropriate legal processes and prone to aggressive responses when confronted. The profanity-laced email in the Martinez case, if authenticated, would represent a significant escalation that could complicate his legal standing.

Soulja Boy has not yet made a formal appearance in the Martinez case, and no resolution has been reached in either matter. Both disputes continue to unfold publicly, fueled in part by the rapper’s own social media behavior and the court documents now entering the public record.
