
DOCTORS are planning to carry out strikes despite a “superflu” sweeping across the UK.
The NHS have declared a critical incident over the past week after the newest strain of flu has taken over hospitals.
The strain is said to be putting 1,700 patients in hospital per week – 50 per cent up from this time last year.
Today, Shabana Mahmood said hospitals were under “huge strain” and urged resident doctors to accept pay deals to avoid strikes.
