Ryan Murphy has just sealed the deal on what fans have been speculating for a long time: American Horror Story Season 13 is straight-up a continuation of American Horror Story: Coven. It’s an exciting news for fans who have longed for more of the iconic season and Murphy has finally done what can be called as fan service.
His production company posted those teaser photos of Jessica Lange on set with the caption “American Horror Story, Season 13. Day One. The return of Jessica Lange!” and confirmed the continuation news in a response to a fan that yes, this is absolutely an extension of the American Horror Story: Coven storyline. So all those fan theories about why so many Coven cast members were returning were more than just empty speculations.
This basically means we’re getting the American Horror Story: Coven sequel fans have been asking for since American Horror Story: Apocalypse ended, and the cast confirms it. For American Horror Story Season 13 we have got Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Jessica Lange, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman all returning which is basically the entire American Horror Story: Coven squad back together. Plus we also have Ariana Grande joining the universe for the first time, which is huge.
