What happened in Episode 10 of Phantom Lawyer?

In Episode 10 of Phantom Lawyer, Chae Jeong-hee approached Yi-rang to take her case against her son. Initially, he thinks she came to see him because she has passed away, but later comes to learn that it’s not her but her husband, Dong-sik, who has died.

She reveals that her husband, who had Alzheimer’s, had written a will for their show business partner’s son. Chae tells them that she, her husband, and a North Korean woman named Seon-hwa had started in the show business. But due to Seon-hwa being captured by the police, claiming her to be a North Korean spy, and her later death, the trio was separated.

They tried to find her son but failed there as well, and resorted to writing a will for Seon-hwa’s son as Dong-sik’s memory was slowly deteriorating. Meanwhile, Chae’s son goes to Taebaek to let them handle the case, which initially Byeong-gil assigns to someone else but gives it back to Do-kyung, who assures him that he will win the case against Yi-rang and Na-hyun.

Elsewhere, working together is bringing Na-hyun and Yi-rang closer as they begin to deal with Yi-rang’s ghost clients together.

A case that Na-hyun deemed difficult becomes much more complicated when Do-kyung reveals that the will was not written in 2019 but after 2020 and that Chae was responsible for it. It was her way of overcoming her guilt, giving away Seon-hwa to the police with false information about her being a spy, all because of her jealousy at the time.

According to the teaser for the upcoming Episode of Phantom Lawyer, the case will reveal more shocking details as Seon-hwa might still be alive.
