Directed by Yamashita Nobuhiro, the Japanese drama features Sugisaki Hana in the lead role. She plays the character of Ayana, a young novelist who has her own fears when it comes to love. She is in a relationship with Yukio and shares a good friendship with her friends Kotaro, Wachi, and En-chan.
The previous episode shared the reason she is scared of love and showed why she chooses someone who likes her first, instead of going after the person she truly likes. It turns out Ayana did fall in love in the past with a musician, Ryosuke. But Ryosuke loved someone else, and that one-sided love made Ayana decide she never wanted to lose herself again.

Sounds of Winter episode 7 is scheduled to release on March 4. The episode will air on NTV at 10 p.m. JST. Japanese viewers can stream the episode on TVer for free. As for international viewers, the episode will be available on Netflix.
The episode follows a ten-day delay for its international release. Because of this gap, episode 7 is expected to arrive on Netflix around March 13, giving interested viewers a short wait after the original broadcast in Japan.

Sounds of Winter episode 6 revolved around Ayana and her bond with Ryosuke. The episode begins with Ayana getting a haircut from her boyfriend, Yukio, and meeting Yamada a few days later. The two talk about the email Ayana sent to Ryosuke in the past, explaining her feelings.
The episode then shifts back two years earlier, showing her conversation with Kotaro about her feelings and the situation with Ryosuke. At that time, Kotaro had feelings for Ayana and was upset seeing Ayana growing feelings for Ryosuke. Soon after she receives a call, Ayana meets Ryosuke and apologizes for the emails she sent him.
Ryosuke tells her why he can’t be with her, stating that he had fallen for her childhood friend Maiko in the past and still has a place for her in his heart. While he also expressed the same to Maiko, the two couldn’t date as Maiko became an idol, which led to certain restrictions. Later, when he wrote the song for her, he came to know that Maiko had fallen for another woman. When he reveals her stage name, Ayana understands who he is talking about.
This leaves Ayana broken as she feels the pain of one-sided love. The episode focused on the unrequited love of Ayana, Kotaro, and Ryosuke. Viewers get to see a different side of Ayana and why she has always been scared of developing deep feelings for someone. According to her, she didn’t want to lose herself in the process, which somewhat happened to her when she fell for Ryosuke.
What to expect from the Sounds of Winter Episode 7?
Sounds of Winter episode 7 will likely focus on her bond with Kobayashi Erhu after his death was announced in the previous episode. He was a novelist and Ayana’s former boyfriend. Ayana will attend his funeral to pay her respects, and her relationship with Yukio will also be a focus of the upcoming episode.
Yukio will even cook for her in the upcoming episode, showing the care he has for her. While Ayana is thankful for his kindness, she might begin to question her own feelings and whether she is being unfair to him.
