What is Murder Mindfully about?

The premise of the show is one of the most clever pitches in recent memory. the show is about a workaholic defense attorney who’s wife signs him up for a mindfulness course. But things take a turn when he starts using his coping mechanisms to commit murders.
Season one ended with Björn having quietly and mindfully dismantled quite a lot of his former life. An official description from Netflix reads,
Björn Diemel seemingly has his life under control: he has internalized the principles of mindfulness, quit his stressful job as a criminal defense lawyer and gone self-employed. He spends more time with his daughter Emily, argues more mindfully with his wife Katharina, but has, on the other hand, expanded his career with an unusual responsibility: As legal representative of two mafia clans whose bosses he has mindfully made disappear from the scene.
It’s the kind of show that uses wellness culture as a genuine comedic lens rather than just a punchline, which is what gives it that extra edge. The show is based on Karsten Dusse’s bestselling novel series of the same name. Dusse, a German author and lawyer, has seen his first book translated into 30 languages, with the overall series moving more than four million copies in Germany alone.
Murder Mindfully Season 2 will release this May on Netflix.
