On April 30, President Trump once again slammed ABC Network and asked when they are going to fire Jimmy Kimmel. In his latest Truth Social post, the president referred to ABC as ‘Fake News Network’ and dubbed Kimmel as ‘seriously unfunny.’ He also referred to the Jimmy Kimmel Show as the ‘Lowest Rated’ show on television. President Trump lastly called for immediate action against Jimmy, stating that people are upset.
“When is ABC Fake News Network firing seriously unfunny Jimmy Kimmel, who incompetently presides over one of the Lowest Rated shows on Television? People are angry. It better be soon!!! President DJT,” President Trump wrote.
Donald Trump’s post came in response to Jimmy’s recent parody, where he said that Melania Trump is glowing like an ‘expectant widow.’
During an event on April 23, Jimmy made fun of Trump and his wife’s relationship and called the First Lady an ‘expectant widow.’ The comedian’s parody faced massive backlash after the recent White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting incident, where Trump and other guests were rescued, and the suspect was arrested. Besides the president, Melania Trump also blasted Kimmel and called for action against him.

Earlier, on April 27, Trump responded to an ABC host’s parody with a post on Truth Social. He called Jimmy’s statement ‘shocking’ and said that Jimmy’s show has terrible ratings.
“Wow, Jimmy Kimmel, who is in no way funny as attested to by his terrible Television Ratings, made a statement on his Show that is really shocking. He showed a fake video of the First Lady, Melania, and our son, Barron, like they were actually sitting in his studio, listening to him speak, which they weren’t, and never would be.”
Donald Trump highlighted how a ‘lunatic’ shooter tried to enter the WHCD event shortly after Jimmy’s parody. Trump said that the shooter was there with a handgun, knives, and a shotgun.
“He then stated, “Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.” A day later a lunatic tried entering the ballroom of the White House Correspondents Dinner, loaded up with a shotgun, handgun, and many knives. He was there for a very obvious and sinister reason.” Donald Trump added.
Finally, President Trump demanded that Jimmy Kimmel be fired right away from his post. He claimed that the TV host said something completely unacceptable. Trump urged Disney and the ABC Network to take action.
“I appreciate that so many people are incensed by Kimmel’s despicable call to violence, and normally would not be responsive to anything that he said but, this is something far beyond the pale. Jimmy Kimmel should be immediately fired by Disney and ABC. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Many other figures, like Andrew Kolvet, Rob Schneider, Meghan McCain, and more, raised their voices against Jimmy’s parody.
