On the Thursday, June 11, 2026, episode of Days of our Lives, Lexie gave EJ bad news, Chanel tried to remain positive, Holly had some handsome help, and Kate finally confessed to Roman.
Salem Rescue Heroes
While walking through the square, EJ spotted Holly weeping at a table and asked her what was wrong. Holly needed someone to vent to, so EJ was as good a person as any. She went into a speech about how Amy Choi was determined to make her pay for Sophia’s death.
EJ and Holly felt that Amy had no business harassing anyone and threatening to ruin their lives after what Sophia had done to Johnny. EJ promised to take care of things for Holly. “You leave Amy Choi to me,” he said. Holly argued that she didn’t want EJ to make things worse.
Before EJ could respond, Xander grabbed his shoulder and told EJ to stay away from Holly. EJ defended himself and said he was trying to help Holly. An uncomfortable Holly didn’t want to be in the middle of this, so she left. EJ and Xander then argued about who was really family to Holly — divorced-from-her-mother EJ or divorced-from-her-aunt Xander.
Either way, Xander had a few bones to pick with EJ. First, stay away from Victoria’s cousin and second, why did he rat Xander out to Gwen? EJ taunted Xander about his secret and implied he would tell Sarah. Xander warned EJ to keep his mouth shut.
Later, when EJ returned to the mansion, Lexie told him that Rolf’s prognosis was not good and that she could die again in a few weeks. EJ swore she wouldn’t let that happen. Lexie didn’t feel very optimistic, but EJ urged her not to give up. Lexie swore not to go down without a fight.
Theo Holds Court
Xander was surprised to see Theo sitting at Johnny’s desk and asked why he was there. A smug Theo told Xander that he might be returning to DiMera, so Xander thought it was okay to tell him that Titan was dropping the plagiarism lawsuit. Theo remained smug as he asked Xander if he was admitting that the lawsuit was a sham.
Xander wanted to talk to Johnny, so Theo warned him that the lawsuit was low on Johnny’s priority list. When Theo was alone again, Johnny appeared, ready to get to work. Theo told Johnny to worry about Chanel and he would worry about DiMera business.
Johnny and Theo agreed that together they could change the company and even do some good in the world, proving the younger generation of DiMeras were nothing like Stefano. Theo then told Johnny that Xander planned to drop the lawsuit against DiMera.
Later, when Theo was alone in the office once again, Gabi dropped by at Theo’s behest to learn that Theo wasn’t going to fight her claim to Stefan’s inheritance. A grateful Gabi thanked Theo for this decision, but he stressed that he didn’t let personal feelings influence him. Moving forward, he didn’t want to see Gabi anymore.
Gabi told Xander the news when she saw him in the square, so he wanted her to hand the cash over to Titan. Gabi was willing to do it, but there would be a price. She just didn’t want to tell Xander what that price was just yet.
Better news for Chanel
At the hospital, Chanel told Sarah that they had a more successful appointment with an oncologist who had a much better bedside manner than the other doctor. Chanel was pleased that the doctor addressed her concerns and agreed to start treatment as soon as possible. Sarah was relieved to hear that Chanel had surgery scheduled for her port placement the very next day.
When Chanel returned home, she found Paulina folding laundry and told her that she’d decided to move ahead with chemo. She explained that she’d have a few rounds of chemo, have surgery to have the tumor removed, and be induced a few weeks early to expose the baby to the chemo as little as possible.
The doctor seemed optimistic, but Chanel did not. She was worried about so many things and was sad that she wouldn’t be able to breastfeed since the chemo could harm the baby once it was born. Paulina assured Chanel that many women didn’t breastfeed and still bonded with their babies. She also worried that she’d been so worn down from chemo that she wouldn’t be able to take care of Trey.
Paulina did the best she could to stay optimistic for Chanel. When Johnny came home, she left, looked at the pamphlet on breast cancer that Chanel had given her, and looked like she had an idea. The next thing we knew, Paulina was in the DiMera living room, begging EJ for some Dr. Rolf Elixer for Chanel. EJ adamantly refused.
Fun in the sun
In the Hernandez kitchen, Gabi and Ari watched TikTok videos and discussed her DiMera internship. Ari was bored by it already, but mentioned that Kate asked Ari to tell her if she heard anything exciting while there. Gabi saw that as asking Ari to spy on DiMera.
After her time in the square, Holly met with Sarah at the pub and told her about her run-in with Amy. At least EJ said he would take care of things, which alarmed Sarah. Holly then mentioned Xander coming to her defense, which surprised Sarah, who said that Xander must care about Holly. She noted that Xander would do anything for family.
Holly smiled and noted that Sarah was saying nice things about Xander. Sarah admitted that she and Xander had been getting along better lately. She still saw humanity in Xander and wouldn’t love him if there wasn’t any. Holly pointed out that Sarah used the word “love.” Part of Sarah would always love Xander, but they’d never be together again.
Ari soon joined them so the girls could complain about their miserable summer. Sarah then surprised them and offered them use of the Horton cabin for some fun time in the sun. Ari even wanted to invite Aaron.
Kate’s confession
Kate happened upon Roman sweeping up outside the pub and told him there was something she wanted to talk about. Kate told Roman it was serious, but had a hard time getting the words out. Finally, she admitted she had lied about her part in setting up Johnny about the lawsuit. Xander’s words were what prompted Kate to tell the truth.
Roman could barely believe what Kate had said. Kate quickly began making excuses for herself. She thought that DiMera would settle, they’d save Titan, and it would all go away. She never meant to hurt Johnny. Roman was furious that Kate had railroaded his grandson like that.
Not only that, but Kate lied straight to Roman’s face and made him feel guilty for doubting her. Roman asked why Kate was telling him the truth now. Kate said it was because she was afraid he’d find out another way since Xander planned to apologize to Johnny.
Roman realized that Kate never would have come forward if it weren’t for Xander. Kate tried to defend hersel, but Roman didn’t want to hear it. He was done with all the secrets and lied and needed some space.
Both Roman and Kate ended up in the square, seperately. Roman called Marlena wanting to talk, while Kate ran into Xander and took him to task for having a crisis of conscience.
