Our Brazza did the right thing

Fitness influencer Lee “Malibufitmaxx” Markham shared a self-recorded video on February 27, saying that he lied about being harmed in an IED blast, which changed his facial features. He said he wanted to address the claim directly. He said he served in the Army from 2005 to 2010. He mentioned:

“That part of my life is something that I have always been proud of. I have always had deep respect for the men and women who served alongside me, especially those who suffered more than I ever had. I have always got comments about my face and appearance. Some of them were harsh and to be honest, I didn’t handle it well.”

Malibufitmaxx went on to say:

“I was new to being in the public eye and I didn’t know how to handle the criticism. Instead of facing that right away, I made a bad decision and put IED survivor in my bio. That was not true and it was wrong. Truly, I am sorry from the bottom of my heart.”

Meanwhile, bodybuilder and influencer Johny Münster left a comment on the video, writing:

In the video, Markham said that he had always tried to promote positivity and support for others, especially veterans. However, Malibufitmaxx acknowledged that his actions contradicted his beliefs, and he took full responsibility for that. He mentioned that words would not be enough to “fix this,” as trust is always earned. Going forward, he would like to be honest with his viewers.

Malibufitmaxx on reaching 1M on TikTok

Last week, Malibufitmaxx hit one million followers on TikTok. He said it was inexplicable the kind of gratitude that was “flowing from his heart.” He also said that he would be releasing a documentary, and people will be able to learn more about him. He said that the documentary will highlight his military experience, childhood, and exercise regimen. He captioned the video:

“because of all of you! Without your love and support, I would be nothing. I am overwhelmed with the love I get in my DMs everyday. Thank you from the bottom of of my heart!!”

In another video posted a few days ago, Malibufitmaxx said that he was trying to get used to social media. He said the last two months had been wild, and he wanted to thank his fans. Markham said:

“I know that the position I am in right now would not even be possible without you. Every share, every repost, every comment, none of that gets unnoticed by me. All this started because I just wanted to help, even if it was just getting one person into fitness and now I have an update for you.”

Malibufitmaxx shared that he had packed his bags and was heading to Texas. He said he was going there to partner with a company. He mentioned that this growth seemed unreal to him because two months ago, he had almost no idea about how this social media space worked. He looked forward to staying humble.
